Are you serious? Move up to take Carr? Why would they have to do that? Carr's not going in the top seven picks... heck, I wouldn't take him @ #8. You had a great post going until that point, though.
Posted Saturday March 29, 2014, About: Report: Lakers assembling lottery package for Kevin Love
Why would he want to go to the Lakers? They're horrible right now...the woofies beat L.A. the other night by about 50 points. Assuming the Lakers give up their lotto pick and another pick/picks or a player, exactly who would Kevin have to play with? La La Land is a mess and it's going to take a bunch more than K. Love & an aging Kobe to make them good again.
Posted Friday February 14, 2014, About: Vikings eyeing Ryan Mallett trade?
I give this ZERO credence... 'Well, Ben Goessling seems to think'... this is just made up junk, because a guy needed to fill some column inches and he's heard a few fans debating the relative merits of such a trade. Never. Going. To. Happen.
Posted Saturday December 07, 2013, About: Cubs, Royals reportedly interested in Joba Chamberlain
Yet... yet some team is going to give him a big, fat, multi-year, 10+ million dollar deal. *(Not per-year, but total deal). Because that is what the market will bear,
even for an **** clown. The dude will still abide with his juicy, meaty 95+ mph fastball.

Just another Twitiot.
Posted Sunday May 26, 2013, About: Umpire, Mariners manager both miss blown call
This...persistent folly of highly-paid, professional umpires @ the MLB level is egregious and an utter embarrassment. Eric freaking WEDGE should've known? Not a reasonable argument. How about the second base umpire? How about the home-plate tub-of-goo? What're these guys DOING out there? It's unfathomable to me the number of FIRST BASE BLOWN CALLS the past several seasons. Instead of reasonable people addressing the issue, a literal blind eye is turned. It doesn't just 'suck', it impacts the INTEGRITY OF THE GAME. It makes a MOCKERY of MLB & it's product. The umpires, their union, Commissioner Bud Dinski & the owners need to take a real, hard look at what's going on here & ADDRESS IT, because to the fans, it looks like rank amateurism at best & excusable at the worst. Get a clue, MLB.

Yet another completely fabricated 'news' item... this is trash, not journalism. Good grief.

But...but...but WHO is struggling @ quarterback and is on the 'hot seat'?
For the love of GOD...get RID OF IT, already!!!

MAYYYBE...instead of posting this DRIVEL, someone @SI could busy themselves getting rid of that INSIDIOUS Peter King nonsense about 'which QB's are on the 'hot seat'...please; for the love of GOD...

My thought exactly; a 'manufactured' story.
"Well, they've shifted their focus...er...on the radar...er..looking at them...uh, might have interest...I have nothing else to report, so I made this crap up" .

Reg-ahroo is a daft, egotistical jerkwad.
NO ONE shoujld pay him any mind.
Posted Sunday February 26, 2012, About: Sanchez backs Braun's story
I wouldn't consider Ryan Braun a budding thespian nor a rocket scientist.
When he delivered his statement, I think he honestly believed that he had
been wronged... he didn't look or sound like a guy who was lying through his
teeth, or obfuscating. A great acting job by a smart cheater? I don't think so.
I think, regardless of whether or not his specimen was accurate, he believes himself to be innocent. The 20-1 ratio is so outrageously high, he would have had to be willfully and
recklessly arrogant and foolish... wouldn't he? Was he?

He would look slimmer in that Dodger Blue.
Posted Thursday December 08, 2011, About: Prepare for a Darvish bidding war
My Twins are saddled with the Nishioka contract for 2 more years, otherwise I'm sure they'd take a shot at the Whirling Darvish.
Posted Saturday November 19, 2011, About: Jets' QB issue on verge of crisis
The Jets are supposed to RUN, control the ball... pass only when necessary. THAT was how they got around Sanchez's inexperience and 'deficiencies' as a QB. They need a stud back. What's Curtis Martin doing these days?
Posted Monday August 15, 2011, About: Stern talks openly of contraction
On it's face, contraction looks attractive... until you realize that the REAL PROBLEM is the League's business model that hoses the lesser-thans with sham "lotteries" for players, a ridiculous "cap" that allows for virtually any scenario to play out, a salary structure that saddles teams with bloated waste that can kill them from competing for YEARS, a clueless commish who allows any idiot to buy a team, run them into the ground and keep them there, and has a bevy of G.M.'s that couldn't run a Kool-Aid stand. And, of course, contraction would kill the NBA's image in any city that get's it's team contracted, AND would cost a boat-load of cash in litigation costs, as NO owner or city affected would stand idly by without seeking redress from the courts.
Posted Wednesday August 10, 2011, About: More money, more problems in Minnesota
"This team is a cellar dweller for years, maybe even a decade to come."
Are you drinkin' today?
Mauer. Morneau. Young. Cuddyer. Kubel. Casilla. Revere. Span. Valencia.
Liriano. Perkins. Baker. Duensing. Pavano. Slowey, Blackburn. Nathan.
Some free agents in there, but most will re-up with the Twins, because they LIKE to play there.
Gibson is NOT having Tommy John surgery. He's rehabbing. He's young, and he'll be alright. Wasn't going to do the Twins any good this year, anyway. Not exactly a "ten year, cupboard bare" scenario, and they ALWAYS sign guys in the off-season. Though not always the "cream of the crop", usually smart, good signings. The Twins WILL spend dough, they will make trades, they will sign free agents. This team WILL contend in 2012. Take it to the bank.
Posted Wednesday August 10, 2011, About: More money, more problems in Minnesota
2011 is a complete aberration in twins history. Not indicative of the talent on the roster.
The off-season cannot come soon enough for this beleaguered club. They'll be back.
Nishioka has been AWFUL. Just awful. Hard to watch a guy in a MLB uniform perform so poorly.
