We'll I have never felt threatened while doing the change. And ive made the transfer at 2am on sat/sun many time and going to work at 7am daily. Plus, normally the train is right across the platform waiting for the transfer.

Also, the port jeff line has trains that you don't have to transfer at Jamaica. I would assume the others do too. I don't think that would be a deterrent. And games are over by 10pm.

Why do people think that Isles fans won't travel to Brooklyn? These are the same fans that travel 2+ hours to watch the Jets/Giants, 45min+ for the mets and 2+hrs for the Yanks. When I am on the train during game days they are packed with Ranger, Yankee, Giant and Jet fans (depending on who is playing).

It is so easy to take the LIRR to the Barclays center. Is it really that hard to change in Jamaica?

All to well and the Asbestos

When Wang first bougt the team he spent on Yashin, Peca, Osgood etc... and it payed off for a few seasons. Then it hit the fan.

Now I think Wang is Crazy and Cheap and that is a bad combo.

One more thing- No one wants to play for the Isles not only because the NVMC is dump but also b/c of the crazy cr@p Wang and Snow do. Even when they move to Brooklyn no one is going to want to play for them b/c of Wang, Snow and Cappy

I think Snow has done a good job so far. He restocked the prospects pipeline, drafted well, picked up some good waiver wires. I think its more Wang that is the problem. He is too involved and knows nothing abouth Hockey.

It also seems like they have been in a holding pattern the past few seasons and are waiting for something happen. I think Wang, Snow and Cappy have taken this team as far as they can. Its time to sell the team to the Russian and replace management with capable leaders.
Posted Friday February 08, 2013, About: Sidney Crosby: Isles fans "didn't show a lot of class"
Thats just big talk. I never want a player on any team to get seriously hurt, but I do remember watching the Winter Classic a few years ago and saying "NICE" when Crosby went down. And than when I found out he was seriously hurt thinking "F him, but I hope he is OK"

In my opinion the cheering is more about hoping the player felt some pain and will think twice about his next few moves/shifts. And hopefully the crowd will get into the players head and the player wont play well or be scared to play in the stadium b/c of the crowd.

Everyone says this when its their player that goes down and gets cheered. But you would be cheering along with the other Pens fans if Giroux went down.

For a rebuilding team like the Isles this season is a wash and I would rather the Isles finish for a top 5 draft pick again this year. Potentially, get or trade for the number 2 and pick Seth Jones.

When they settle into Brooklyn they would have the biggest and nastiest D in the league and no one would want to play them. Hamonic, Reinhart, Mayfield - maybe Jones. That would be a pretty good top 4. Plus at least one of there dmen in the AHL should work out and one their other 6 dmen from last years draft should work out.
Posted Friday December 07, 2012, About: Ducks rep: 'It is insane to me'
Can some explain to me why a longer CBA isn't beneficial to the players? Every time there is a lockout they lose more revenue sharing and more rights. So wouldn't they want the expiration of the new CBA to be as far away as possible?

Fehr says is won't represent the new players, but the new players will be getting a worse deal.

The Giants are in every position to say whatever they want. They are defending Super Bowl Champs, are 6-3 and are leading their division. How many Super Bowl rings does Rolle have?

Next Question...

Yes

Dolan was ok with the Nets moving to Brooklyn why not the Isles?
Posted Sunday June 17, 2012, About: Wild willing to guarantee 13 years for Parise
I dont think the Isles want Amnesty. They cant get anyone to play there and need Ricky's contract to get to the Cap Floor. See Brian Rolston as an example.
Posted Monday May 14, 2012, About: Brodeur has been holding an 18-year grudge
I think the real story hear is that Brodeur is still playing after 20+ years in the league. And that we are talking about a rematch that started 18 years ago. This was his third season season too, not like he was a rookie. A lot of the guys he is playing against were born his Rookie season or later.

It is amazing that this guy is still playing, especially b/c he is a goalie. Best goalie to ever play the game.
Posted Sunday April 29, 2012, About: Owners forcing GMs' realignment votes?
6 games against a bad team doesn't "fatten you up." 24 games against the best 4 teams in the East can make the difference between just missing the playoffs and finishing 14th. Plus three of those 4 teams made it to the second round.

And I am not trying to argue that the Isles are a good team-They are not. What I am saying is that strength of schedule comes into play and the Caps will be the most affected if the NHL moves to a 4 conference system.
Posted Sunday April 29, 2012, About: Owners forcing GMs' realignment votes?
It matters what division you are in and WILL matter what conference you are in if they go to four conferences.

For example. The Atlantic Division was arguably the best division in the eastern conference this year. The New York Islanders had to play the 4 best teams, by points, in the east 6 times each. Their record against those teams was terrible. If they had been in the SE division, they would get 6 games against weaker teams and only have to play Atlantic teams 4x each. Now I am not saying they would be a playoff team, but would probably have a much better record. It is much harder for the Isles to make the playoffs with the Rags, Pens, Flyers and Devils in their division. Their strength of schedule is much harder. This would happen to the Caps if they moved to four conferences. Plus, the Isles and Canes would never make the playoffs.

Nabokov is probably available. You could try for him again.
Posted Thursday February 02, 2012, About: Flyers stuck riding Bryzgalov
Again, you are not reading my posts correctly. I am not saying that Lundqvist is the only elite goalie in the league. I am saying he is only elite goalie in the League I think would be worth a long contract for big money. Tim Thomas is ruled out b/c he is 38 and who is going to give him a long contract for a lot of money? Six months ago I would have included Ryan Miller but now he is showing cracks. I am basing my opinion on age, durability, past performance and potential.
Posted Wednesday February 01, 2012, About: Flyers stuck riding Bryzgalov
You didnt read my clarifying post. Even if you did, please tell me one goalie you would give a 5 year 35 mill contract to. (Besides Lundqvist.) Quick-To young and unproven in the postseason, Fluery-SC Champ has shown more consistency as of late but still a head case, Ward and Backstrom are the only other two goalies I would break the bank for. Everyone else is either to old, to unproven or to injury prone.
Posted Wednesday February 01, 2012, About: Flyers stuck riding Bryzgalov
Let me rephrase- Elite- meaning proven goalies that I would sign for big money and 5 years. Thomas is an elite goalie but he is 38. And there are plenty of young goalies that have potential but have not proven themselves to be worth 5 years and big money.

IDK if its nostalgia but I remember the goalie battles of Richter, Brodour, Roy, Hasek etc... now those were elite goalies. They were consistently the best over a 10-15 year period. I dont think you can say that about a group of goalies now.
