Posted Saturday February 02, 2013, About: What will the Sabres do with Tyler Myers, Jordan Leopold?
Sophomore, junior AND senior jinx? He has steadily declined since his rookie year with each season being worse than the last.

Shouldn't Miller have to do that first? Guy has maybe three 'great' years in his 8 year career.

In 123 games he has 39 TDs and 4700 yards.
In 42 games Gronk has 37 TDs and 2600 yards.

Gronk matched Miller's output this season despite 5 fewer games.

"everyone came to appreciate him as more than just the best receiving-blocking tight end in the league"

Apparently the Pittsburgh media is unfamiliar with one Rob Gronkowski.

Actually, would cost him more not to buy him out (obviously)
Posted Thursday May 03, 2012, About: Habs ready to cut Gomez loose
Relying on Markov was sheet stupidity. So was re-signing him for so much money. Can't blame poor performance on his absence when it was expected well in advance.

Also, if your team is crippled by the loss of a player like Moen then it was already a lost cause. He's a solid depth player, nothing more.
they'd have to pay the under-achieving forward two-thirds of the salary cap hit ($7.3 million annually)
Fail. His cap hit has nothing to do with the buyout. You'd think a Canadian newspaper would know that much.
Posted Wednesday May 02, 2012, About: Laviolette snub in line with conspiracy theory
Lavvy has no place in the Adams discussion this year. He isn't even close to meriting a nomination.

The fact that the finalists the Pearson/Lindsay match the Hart trio also kills any complaint about Giroux being overlooked. How can you claim conspiracy from the writers when the players are in agreement with them?

The rule pertains to instigating in the final five minutes. There was no instigating.

Debris was thrown on the ice but I believe it was after Julien was tossed and the Bruins were assessed a bench minor for that. There is nothing in the rules about tossing the coach for such actions.

No. Though I did watch those finals.

But I do watch college hockey so can throw those titles in the mix if you want.

From what he said, he doesn't know. When they tossed Lucic he said he shook his head and next thing he knew he was tossed.

Really hope there is more to that story but I fear the truth will never be known.

You forgot Lucic.

7 titles in 10 years.

Right...

We are pretty good at celebrating though.

He had every right to be pissed on that one... the guy clearly lost the puck and the shot should have been negated.

However, I think this was my favorite moment of the trade...

3 on 13? To the likes of Chistov, PJ and York? Eeesh.

Why the hell would I reference the Hamilton Bulldogs when discussing the Kessel trade? The hell does the Canadiens affiliate have to do with anything?

Nah, Toronto would give them 8 firsts for Sega! Duh.

Oh, and thanks for Rask. Proven a tad more effective than Raycroft.

All I am saying was that Gleason instigated the matter. Pulled a Steve Ott. Pick a fight then look around everywhere for the refs to save you.

It was cowardly but effective.

Minding your own business doesn't often equate to roughing calls against you.

Also consider that Horton is recently concussed and as such deserves more protection from teammates.

And Horton never actually threw a punch in that mess... just continually shoved Gleason and ragdolled him. Never once did his hands leave Gleason's jersey to throw a punch.

Does go against the unwritten rule of goalies not messing with players and vice versa.

Can only imagine the outrage had the situation been reversed and it was Chara who sought out words with Ward who was minding his own business.
