At least he didn't kick it.

The hating on Ohio State is par for the course, so I won't comment on that. But for anyone who looks at them losing revenue as anything other than a reflection on our poor economy needs to put down the Sunday comics and pick up a copy of the Wall Street Journal. What a bunch of ****.

Dude, you really have no clue if you think Laurinitis isn't going to be a first round pick. He may/may not be picked above Maualuga, but there's no way he's not going in the first round. Second, I marginally agree with you about Wells. Even though he has the ability to play through pain, he is injury-prone, and that's a huge risk for a first round bet. But to say that the dude is slow? Seriously. Go back and look at the game film. He doesn't just break linebacker tackles. He outruns secondary with ease.

Michigan. Hate the sports, love the music. DAMN YOU, DETROIT! :)
Bowl season, baby. Go Big 10!
Posted Wednesday November 19, 2008, About: Why Beanie Wells will jump to NFL
Only thing that could possibly keep him at OSU for his senior season would be the pursuit of the Heisman, which is totally possible should be remain healthy.

Hahahaha...props to arejaydub for comingin strong! I agree, best to lose early, wipe that egg of your face, then sit around while everyone beats each other up.

Seriously, though...the only thing that could have made last better was Lou Holtz rubbing Mark May's sanctimonious little head in an act of faux consolation. I'm sure May was quick to point out that it's OU (not USC) that he's been all hot over. God I wish that guy would take a long walk off a short pier.
Posted Friday September 26, 2008, About: O.J. liked USC's chances
A recruit/player charged with a crime, a loss to an uranked team, and a former star QB sitting on the sidelines behind Kurt "the Portrait of Dorian Gray" Warner. Just another day at USC.

The only thing OJ and SC are "wearing down" is their credibility.

Ironic, though...isn't it? The Buckeyes beat the Trojans and USC falls to OSU after all.

Let me first state that any college campus in the US will, by default, have a handful of hot girls. It's college.

Okay, moving on. Even though UM is in a hardcore rebuilding year, they are the winningest program in all of college football. The will bounce back. No doubt.

But anyone who lives in/on/around/through/between/nearby Detroit or any other cancerous Michigan city has zero collateral when it comes to talking about the quality of female in any other city. Seriously. Put it to bed.

Though I do agree with you that Robo might not be as fast as Ginn, he still needs to work on being a more physical receiver. But on the Robo/Hartline tip, I guarantee you right now that #9 comes up bigger in the clutch this season than #80...and my money is on the other "dude with the long last name that begins with S." (Jake Stoneburner) At 6'5" 230 he's nearly TE size. Hopefully they get him in the mix this season.

PS: I like the green jordans. Series 4 reissues?

Reggie actually spends quite a bit of time in LA with his main squeeze. Don't have to look further than the tabloid blogs for them pics. Maybe if he put in some face-time in N.O. -- as his coach has asked him to do -- he'd have a little more going for him.

Speaking of no-shows, how come Reggie Bush is never on the sidelines for any USC games. Oh that's right...
Posted Monday September 22, 2008, About: Buckeyes to stick with Pryor
On a sidenote, I can't wait for USC to run the table in the Slack-10, only to get bumped out of the NC by either an undefeated or one-loss Big 12 or SEC team.

THAT_TEXAS_BOY ... I assume you're a Longhorn fan. Come 10/25, what do you think their record will be? Not trying to go into attack mode. Just curious to get your opinion.

I think the arm has a ton of potential. Not sure if it's his size, but the dude makes things look effortless. When Darren Sproles or Garret Wolfe run down the field, their legs look like the Roadrunner. Pryor just lopes, but picks up solid yardage. Same with his arm. I think his tentative body language -- understandable for a frosh -- is what's got me worried, but that should diminish with experience. I just hope he keeps his nose clean.

Don't get me wrong. OSU looked really shaky in the OU game, but I think on the whole people get too myopic and headline-driven when one higher profile in-state school plays another less notable one. Dimes to dollars says lots of those dudes played against each other in high school, and when you've got that familiar face staring back across the line at you, rankings go out the window. Understandably, Pac-10 fans have a hard time understanding this. Anyone who thought the OSU/OU game would be a blow-out doesn't know football...especially considering Tress hardly ever goes for the BCS style points associated with a big win.

"Before I knew it, I just had to put my hand up."

Not buying it. Pryor is getting a feel for his offense, and thus his throws have a little air under 'em. I don't think there was one throw in that Troy game where he really let one rip, Favre-style. It's one thing to have timing issues with a new QB, but Robiskie was definitely in the vicinity and able to at least put two hands on the ball, even if he'd dropped it.

I've always thought Hartline was the more dynamic of the Brian's, and this QB change should cement that. Robiskie (like Ginn, to an extent) relies too much on vertical speed to beat receivers, which is why (aside from the O-line crumble) he was a non-factor against the fast SEC corners in the last two Nattys. If you can't jam someone at the line of scrimmage or put a defensive back in the popcorn machine every once and a while, you're not gonna be open. Hartline is OSU's new Gonzales. Good routes, soft hands, good sense of balance.

xxx84xxx ... are you talking about that non-catch when TP had him on the slant? I was pretty baffled at the lack of extra effort on that ball. Either his "shoulder issue" is a problem or he's mentally on the slide. I know he got up for that TD catch later in the game -- and maybe that's what he needed -- but it just seems like both the offense and defense need an emotional spark. Hopefully TP will provide that.

I'm a diehard OSU fan all the way, but eventually -- say, 10/4 -- their O line issues, predictable play calling, and lack of a tight end package are going to cause TP to stumble hard. Hopefully his mobility will allow the WRs to shake coverage, but until he starts throwing ropes, those 4 TD passes (all floaters) are gonna get picked by solid corners. I know this is a bit of a stretch comparison, but look what Miami did to the Pats this weekend. Though I grit my teeth when I say this, coaches like Les Miles and (sigh) Urban Meyer can put together offensive packages that really make my jaw drop. I agree with Buckeye Harry. Bollman needs to step up his game, even though it's Tress making the play calls. OSU has some of the most dynamic playmakers in ANY conference, but if they're not coached properly and given packages that play to their strengths, it's all for naught.
