It doesn't matter too much who's the "starting" RB. Bush and McFadden will most prob end up getting about 40% of the carries each with Fargas the other 20% anyway

As a Raiders fan I am not too happy to see Cutler go. he is one of the most overrated QBs in the game. I am also sad to see Shanahan go as the decisions he kept making were as bad as the decisions of Davis here in Raiderland. I think McDaniels is a going to be a great coach, and the Broncos are to be more feared now with him and Orton running the show than Shanahan and Cutler.

Last year was pretty much like a rookie year for Russ also after the contract standoff he head with AD for his rookie season. But as has been said previously, Russ performed quite well to end the season when the team had nothing to play for but pride, so to me that is a positive.
I still wanted the Raiders to take the big LT the Browns took (sorry cant remember his name Joe Smith??) with the #1 pick over Russ though.
As for the lack of black QB's. I think it could come down to young black players not having any big time star QB's to look up to and want to follow. As a child you always want to follow in your heros footsteps, and I can't see any young black players wanting to follow in Marion, Favre, Manning, Brady etc footsteps, when they see greats like LT from the Chargers, Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson etc succeding in their positions

Noone really knows the true story here. Maybe the Steelers knew Ben had injured ribs before the game, but didn't want to put him on the injury list for the Cardinals to target, thats why they are denying any knowledge of it now. My understanding is they could get a considerable fine for not listing the injury, and maybe Big Ben let it slip by accident, so its just a big cover up.
Regardless, he played a top game injured or not, and they won the superbowl. I could understand him making up an excuse if they lost or played poorly, but when you played well, it seems a little crazy to me to make something up like that.
And also, I broke my ribs playing rugby and didn't realise untill two days after. I thought it was just bruised and tender.

He has a good point, although I don't think he should be talking about this on a radio show or whatever. I wanted the Raiders to go after him. But they trade for one of the most overarted CB's in the game (who only lasts half a season) and then sign a broken injury prone WR. Damn AD

HAHA, I love it!

But as a Raiders fan I hope we can keep both. Aso is the best player we have, he needs a long term deal and not to be tagged again. If he does get tagged again, I hope he actually does hold out, because he deserves alot better. I really think if they tag him though, he would be traded soon after, cause his contract would be huge. Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding was that if he was tagged again, the tag price would go up 25% off what he was tagged this year - up to around 12 mil.

As for Lechler, I think he will stay. We can probably offer him one of the better contracts for a punter, and as a punter he isn't going to get alot more field time anywhere else than here really! If he goes to a super bowl contender, his stats are def not going to be anywhere as good, so I guess it depends on how much that means to him.

As a Raiders fan I would be gutted to see him leave but certainly woouldn't blame him. The Raiders are going nowhere till AD disappears, then it would still be 2-3 seasons to get this team back up to respectabilty.

I think you missed the point here. Why would they ever get rid of Asomugha? He is the reason that Hall got picked on so much and not in a bad way. Asomugha is so damn good that QB's just flat out do not throw to his side of the field.

The weirdest thing about all this is that Hall has been replaced by Chris Johnson, who was the 4th CB on the team. I could understand maybe putting Stanford Routt in, because he was the 3rd CB and has proven he has some starter abilty when given the chance.
