I'm not a Yankees hater, but if they really are a "bought team" as i have said for years, why not bring in the biggest free agent bat sitting there rotting...and besides, if Bonds fails, the media will just tear him into little strips.

Just so you know... Penn State doesn't do it right.
They are 200+ miles from Pittsburgh and 200+ miles from Philly and nobody local digs into there "recruiting".
They are located in the middle of freakin' nowhere and just do as they please.
I lived there for 35 years and saw many a player driving "leased" cars... like BMW's, Audi's, Mercedes.
This is fact.
I know where the "football frat house" was on campus.. they didn't even try to hide it.
This isn't the 80's so I'm sure the kids are getting cash.
By the way, how come they had to sue Penn State to release Paterno's salary?
