I've had german sheps my whole life.. since our first one Sam when I was a kid.. best dog ever was Aries though.. man, I loved that boy.. had to put him down in 07 and never thought i would ever find another like him.. until I got Zeus this summer.. same personality.. same devotion.. same goofy dog..
Maya does that with Meg.. after the bus leaves, I let the dogs out and Maya will walk up the driveway sniffing at every footprint until she gets to the top and then stands there looking around..
my vet is never wrong. Labs have a high energy level and while easily trained, most don't take the time to do so - they are not recommended around small children. Check the animal welfare adoption sites.. most labs will have a criteria of no small children in the home if you want to adopt
she wasn't a bad dog at all. Which was why I didn't sue or have her put down which was my right.. My point is that labs are documented to be high strung and are generally not recommended for families with small children.
