Damaris Lewis
Jarah Mariano

I really wanted to see him fight Mighty Mo.
Just maybe.
Funny thing is that Fannation doesn't even have a Boxing T&R section... it has an MMA T&R section where some boxing stuff gets thrown in.
Too painful to watch.
Problem is if he loses to a hand-picked guy, lol.
His legacy is untouchable.
He hasn't shown anything out of the ordinary here, he hasn't shown to be a special player, but he's still only 19.
I am a Sporting Lisbon supporter but I am well aware of Freddy Adu and what people in general, and Benfica supporters in particular, think about him.
Basically there are 3 types of people here regarding Freddy Adu, among the mainstream soccer fans:
- "Adu is a bust"
- "He's still too young, give him some more playing time, we'll see"
- "Who's that?"
Adu basically came to Benfica with a lot of fanfare and he was supposed to crack the starting eleven, but that never happened as you all know.
He played in some friendlies and cup games, but was never really able to show the coach, or the fans, anything substantial.
He then went to France and most people here have forgotten about him. Most Benfica supporters will only remember him when he comes back from his loan at the end of the season.
And then he'll have next season to show something and try to crack the starting eleven again.
As it is, I don't see him having a shot at being a starter, unless he has really progressed with his game.
Benfica's offensive midfield and striker units are filled with guys fighting for minutes and quality playing time. You've got Oscar Cardozo, Nuno Gomes, Di Maria, Pablo Aimar, Pedro Mantorras and a few others.
Even if some of these are shipped elsewhere, new guys will come along, it's a stacked unit.
The best thing that may happen to him is for Benfica to loan him to another Portuguese club, a Division I average club. That way he will get playing time and he will get to showcase his skills.
Because if that doesn't happen, I see him losing another year.
He's training MMA and that's it.
He's not training MMA to compete in MMA!
BJ Penn doesn't look like a fighter.
The examples could go on and on.
We just likes to train MMA. I can relate to that.
