Oh he certainly has the right to do so. But the mascot didn't have to apologize for making fun of him for something that the Bible states should be done in private. The Bible actually condemns people who pray in public.

So looking at it from a Christian point of view (assuming Hayes is Christian), he shouldn't have been praying in public if he does believe in what the Bible says.

This isn't about "too many sensitive people" dude. This is about a song that symbolizes oppression, murder, and division.

When the Gopher Mascot prayer thing came out, yeah I was a bit on the "well he shouldn't have been praying in public" side, but this one is not about political correctness. This one's about promoting racism.

Just in case it hasn't been said enough: If it isn't to attempt to pass Joe Paterno, why is Bowden still coaching and driving the Florida State program deeper into the ground?

At 2 - 3, they're starting to dig now. I reckon they'll be about three feet underground by season's end.

Ok, people, there's a huge difference between "In the SEC" and "Against Alabama, LSU, Florida, Tennessee [when they're good], and Georgia". We all know that if you're up 24 in the 3rd against the other six there's more than "just a tiny" chance you'll win.

If this isn't the case, show me consistent evidence of second half, 24+ point deficit games played in the SEC where the losing team won, or at least tied the game.

Insert any other illegal activity to replace Marijuana use, and would you still feel the same about it? Unfortunately, as long as it's illegal, your point of view on Marijuana does not have anything to do with the poor judgment he just showed the NFL. And, if UM did cover for him, for whatever reason he did, it's also wrong.

As long as Marijuana is illegal, no matter what people's feelings, situations, or circumstances may be, they have to come to terms with the fact that they are running a risk by using, and will most likely get in trouble for doing so.

It takes at least an hour to get to NYC from Hackettstown, a city very close to Philly. It takes way over an hour from Hoboken to Philly, a city very close to NYC. So the whole point is moot when you talk about going either way, especially since it takes 1 hour and 36 minutes on average to get to NYC from New Brunswick, and 3 hours to get to Philly on average.

It takes three hours to get to Philly from State College, and 4 to get to NYC.
