Tanking for Elway 2.0 is NOT stupid! In fact virtually every team in the league will be kicking themselves two years from now for not doing it. It's how Houston go Akeem and Chicago go Jordan (with an assist from Portland, that is). Suck for Luck is the best possible strategy in Denver, Seattle, Miami, Arizona, the Jets, Philadelphia - anywhere that doesn't have anything resembling a franchise QB. Why go 8-8 and suck again next year when you can Luck your way to 13-3 for the next decade. Stupid indeed!

Palmer has been wearing Brown's IQ as his uniform # his whole career and this proves it. Only the dumbest owner in the sport would try to teach a guy a lesson by forcing him to retire and getting nothing for him when he could improve his team with a draft choice. But then he'd have to pay him. I sure hope Palmer comes back next year in week 1 when teams are REQUIRED to be at 99% of the salary cap as that will force Brown to either finally release him or to release half-a-dozen other players.

One can only assume that Brown is auditioning for The Biggest Loser.
