You're making an uneducated guess about how ATM will fair against the SEC. If you've watched any of ATM's games you would see the potential. ATM has only beat themselves this year, they had 3 touchdown leads going against OK ST. and Arkansas but a lack of experience ultimately is what cost ATM the win.
Yes, I agree in part with you about the opportunity for the SEC to recruit in Texas, but that will also benefit ATM, getting players from Texas who want to play in the SEC and stay close to home, so really its a two-way street.
They're a better team with Perkins I can't deny that. I know this sounds crazy, but I just don't think Durants game is developed enough. Once a team focuses a week of practice around him and realize he has no ball handling skills, he'll get trapped, take bad shots, bad passes, just bad decisions in general; you can just look at Durant and tell he's still a kid trying to figure everything out. Just think about how many 22 year old kids we have taking their teams to the finals?
Common! OKC? Not close, don't have faith in durant and westbrook to carry a team through the playoffs.. It's one thing to be competitive during the regular season rather than be a true competitor when the playoffs roll around. I've heard this tune before and it never ends well.
100% right. Can't change your team philosophy overnight either. Defense is a commitment that takes a lot of dedication and practice. Only way they change philosophies is they change coaches. PERIOD.
Without a doubt they got some sick skill players(gay, gasol, conley, randolph) and I didn't realize how solid of a player tony allen was until he came to the west.
I think they're lacking a legitimate leader with that being said...
I think its hard to be a great defender when you have to put in a lot of work on the offensive end. Thats is the difference between a good and a great player. I would never compare Stoudemires defensive effort to Camby though.... Maybe, like kenyon martin...
I'm not really impressed with his stat line. His shots are dunks, so go figure w/the 60%, 2.43 blocks per game is sub-par considering his height advantage and his natural athleticism. Additionally, I don't care for his carefree attitude, big men are supposed to be tightfisted and mean(ready to fight)! All is sad considering he won't reach full potential, and I hope Hakeem Olajuwon doesn't waste another second with this cat.
