Posted Tuesday April 08, 2014, About: The snag in Victorino's return
It's the second weak of April for cryin out loud. I think the Sox are going to be just fine.
Posted Thursday March 20, 2014, About: Jets want Vick to push Geno
"Geno, now here's what you do when you're pressured", "take the ball and run straight in the butt of the closest offensive lineman" - "Got it, good"
Posted Thursday March 20, 2014, About: Rick Pitino irked by tournament selection
Rick, c'mon! Good grief with all the crap that's going on in the world, you choose to whine about playing a team coached by a friend. Please, just enjoy the game and shut up.
Posted Wednesday March 19, 2014, About: New allegation of Pats' injury obfuscation
Ha! Good one. Yes, absolutely! You mean, you question the validity of the Patriots weekly injury report? Why would anyone ever do that???
Posted Saturday March 08, 2014, About: Why the Jets might keep Sanchez
As a Patriots fan I say, keep'em Gang Green. The kid needs another couple of seasons - for crying out loud give him a chance!
Posted Saturday March 08, 2014, About: Pats, Wilfork headed for trouble
I know many Pats fans will disagree with me but I've always felt Vince is overrated. Yes, he's a good run stopper but he rarely pressures the quarterback and in todays NFL that's the name of the game. Now at 33 years and coming back from an achilles injury he's going to have to agree to restructure his contract or its bye bye Vince. The Pats are in tough shape with the cap and need to reduce their overall hit.
Posted Friday January 17, 2014, About: Jets message to Rex: Win ... or else
Rex is an outstanding defensive coach. Unfortunately, for him and the Jets fans, Rex appears to delegate responsibility for the offense to his OC. Delegation of authority is one thing, responsibility will always remain with the head coach. Unless he develops some competency in supervising his OC, the Jets will have great defenses and mediocre offensives which equals a consistent state of mediocrity.
Posted Friday January 17, 2014, About: Melo calls out Woody's coaching fail
As a Celtics fan, I say, keep it up Melo! Truth to power. Hey, schadenfreude is about all we have this season and this is nearly as good as it gets!
Posted Monday December 23, 2013, About: Bird calls out Granger
As always, Larry plays by his own rules. Still, it was stupid comment - you're right, he couldn't get a set of used tires for this guy now.
Posted Monday December 23, 2013, About: Bird calls out Granger
The 11th commandment, Never believe a General Manager when he says he will not trade a certain player.
Posted Saturday November 16, 2013, About: Rutgers player alleges bullying by defensive coordinator
Ahh, you mean that 'women' AD. Her name is Julie Hermann and yes, she does have a bad rep. from her coaching days. Rutgers continues to step on it every time it has a chance.
Posted Friday November 08, 2013, About: Ireland suggested that Martin punch Incognito
Forget all the b.s., IF and its mighty big IF Martin really had a problem with Richie Incognito he should have handled his business. Not going to the teacher, so to speak, and start telling tales out of school. What the hell kind of society are we becoming? Stand up for yourself and, I know this sounds anachronistic, but 'be a man'.
Posted Tuesday October 15, 2013, About: Ivory takes a shot at Jets OC
Note to DarkArmadillo: This only applies when you have (1) a capable quarterback (2) a couple quality receivers. The Jets are deficient in both these areas, just to mention a few.
Posted Wednesday September 18, 2013, About: Pats want Gronk '100 percent confident'
Posted Tuesday August 13, 2013, About: Landing spot for Ellsbury
Not this year, contract year. Next couple of seasons with a nice, new fat multi-year deal (not in Boston) he'll be playing about a hundred games per season. No way the Sox are going to be suckered by Boras again. Theo works in Chicago now.
Posted Sunday August 11, 2013, About: Jack Clark fired after accusing Albert Pujols of PEDs use
Clark made the statement over the airways, which makes it a public attack on a person's reputation. An attack of this nature can fall into the legal category of slander. There are laws against slanderous attacks and if Albert believes this has happened, then he should sue Clark. What bad publicity is going to come of it? And no, his point has not been made because until people (other on air broadcasters) learn that there are consequences for unsubstantiated, public, accusations.
Posted Sunday August 11, 2013, About: Jack Clark fired after accusing Albert Pujols of PEDs use
No, it's more than an "opinion" when you make an unsubstantiated accusation against someone, it's called slander. Slander can place you in legal jeopardy and it appears that Clark is going to be sued by Pujols. Further, the fact or believed to be fact that many players were using PED's during Pujols' most productive years doesn't matter when it comes to making an accusation against Pujols. Clark stated his belief/accusation over the airways which makes this a slanderous attack and places him in legal hot water.
Posted Friday August 02, 2013, About: Count on Tebow making Patriots
See, smoking weed is dangerous to person's mental functioning.
Posted Thursday June 27, 2013, About: Celtics "leaning toward" keeping Paul Pierce
There are limited ways to become a better team in the NBA, either make an incredible series of trades (as Ainge did with the original Big Three), or suck and rebuild around a lottery pick. Ainge is trying to trade, for higher draft picks so that the C's won't suck. Its not going to work, so he might as well trade Pierce and Garnett for the best offers. Watching Paul Pierce play now is agonizing because he still believes and acts as though he's "The Man" - sorry Paul, those days are gone forever. He's better of with another team, where they can make it clear that he is not The Man from the beginning. If they trade Pierce, they might as well trade Garnett as well because he will not want to return without Doc and Pierce. Garnett, unlike Pierce, knows the limitations of his game at this point of his career but is still a very valuable contributor. The Celtics retaining Pierce would be stupid and would place severe limitations on other moves the Celts could make.
Posted Sunday June 23, 2013, About: Joe Theismann defends Redskins name
It's an insulting, derogatory term used to insult Native Americans. It should have been changed decades ago but this is the NFL league we're talking about. The explanations of Theismann and Goodell in defense of the continuing use of the name Redskins were insults heaped on decades of insults, in other words, unjustifiable.
Posted Tuesday June 18, 2013, About: Doc Rivers may not return to Boston this season
He's under contract with the Celtics for three years. The only way he moves is if they release him from his contract or he retires from coaching. If he retires, he still has non compete clause in his contract for three years. So, if Doc wants to coach next year or within three years, the C's have to release him which they will not do unless they receive compensation.
