Why should Manny dance to Floyd's tune? With Floyd it's all about his ability to force opponents to meet all his demands (when was the last time he fought outside of his home court - Vegas?). With Manny, Floyd is up against someone who has as much power in the boxing world if not more. Let Floyd clean somebody else's clock in May, Manny will do likewise in June. Then Floyd goes away for his government sponsored and paid for vacation, and let them get it on in November. If doesn't happen then, then they are really hurting the sport they profess to love and also nobody is going to care if either one of them fights again.

I don't blame Manny for not wanting to fight above 150. He took a lot of heavy body blows from Margarito during their fight and although he won, you could tell he was fairly beat up. Manny's natural weight is probably around 135 right now and thus for most of his recent fights he's had to add weight. I believe he would beat Cotto again even at above 150 but its not worth the health risk. I think Manny will fight two more fights, one with Bradley and hopefully with PBF in November. If Floyd agrees to a 50/50 split on the purse.

Good article, hometown boy! This fight has to happen. If it doesn't it will stain the legacies of both Floyd and Manny; like the Ali said "since we can't get along, we must get it on!"
