Charles River Man's Comments

Posted Tuesday June 18, 2013, About: Doc Rivers may not return to Boston this season
He's under contract with the Celtics for three years. The only way he moves is if they release him from his contract or he retires from coaching. If he retires, he still has non compete clause in his contract for three years. So, if Doc wants to coach next year or within three years, the C's have to release him which they will not do unless they receive compensation.
Posted Saturday June 15, 2013, About: Source: Horton's injury painful and chronic
Yes, but the B's are not playing the Sedin sisters and their choke artist teammates. The Blackhawks are the real deal, they won't fold like the Canucks or the Penguins. Also, the Bruins are missing another key player, Gregory Campbell who normally centers their forth line and the Bruins almost always roll four lines. Horton is major force on their superb first line when he's healthy. It will be very tough for the B's to win without Horton and Campbell.

Significantly more than a "sore shoulder". Idiotic statement.
Posted Sunday May 12, 2013, About: O.J. Simpson headed back to court
No, he's in prison because he threatened someone with a gun, illegally detained them and attempted theft (he no longer owned the items which he claimed were his). Try doing some research before demonstrating complete ignorance.
Posted Tuesday April 23, 2013, About: Jets 'especially high' on LSU's Barkevious Mingo
How is it possible that a team that is so bad, generates so many threads? The Jets Suck, their owner is a mess, head coach a buffoon, and record abysmal. So why, under the heavens. would anybody but a Sanchezied Jets fan care?
Posted Saturday March 30, 2013, About: Rajon Rondo rejoins Celtics bench with conditions
You're kidding, right? He's their best player. Rondo can be frustrating for Doc every now and then, but he's a great ball player. Bradley is a top line defender but he's no Rondo.
Posted Wednesday March 13, 2013, About: Patriots inquire about top free agent cornerbacks
Nothing in the playoffs? Are you having a moment of mental confusion? AFC Championship games two consecutive years, five Super Bowls in the last ten years, three Super Bowl Championships, and that's nothing?
Posted Wednesday February 27, 2013, About: Brady's deal hurts teammates
My fellow Americans, this is Ron Borges writing about the New England Patriots - every time some thing good happens in Patriot Land, Ron becomes the self appointed pain in the ass. Consider the source. Somebody in the Pat's organization must have ratted out Borges for his plagiarism, which led to the Boston Globe firing him.
Posted Tuesday February 12, 2013, About: Pats ready to let Welker hit the market?
Any team with a good quarterback. He's a great slot receiver, he has a tremendous relationship with Brady but he would work well with any quality quarterback. I don't believe the Pats will franchise him, they'll probably offer him a two year contract at a much friendlier cap number. So, if he wants to maximize his dollar value then he's played his last game as a Patriot. If he's willing to leave money on the table, welcome back Wes!
Posted Thursday January 24, 2013, About: Jerry Jones strips Jason Garrett of play-calling duties
Hey Jerry Jones, play calling is not the problem with the Cowboys. That ugly mug you see every morning in the mirror is. Oh, and Bill Callahan calling plays - yeah that's going to solve your problems. You're out of your freaking mind.
Posted Sunday January 20, 2013, About: Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs criticizes NHLPA before opener
To know Jeremy Jacobs is to hate the SOB. I'll bet dollars to Dunkin Donuts that he was behind the initial offer by the owners which destroyed any goodwill with the players. He's from Buffalo and his only interest in the Bruins is to expand his concession business. Doesn't know or care to know a damn thing about hockey. He is the absolute polar opposite of Bob Kraft.
Posted Saturday January 12, 2013, About: Celtics putting Paul Pierce trade on hold?
Ray Allen left, why? Who really cares? He's gone and if he left because his little feeling were hurt because they considered trading him, good riddance! Its professional sports and GM's are obliged to consider and make all moves they believe will make their team better. So if Ray got his panties all bunched up because the Cs were going to move him - hey if the land of the big boys. Stay in Miami, who gives a rats ass?

Same applies to Paul Pierce, but by this point in his career I think Paul Pierce is enough of a professional to know the deal and accept whatever comes his way. I'd love to have the "Truth" finish his career with the Celtics but if Danny can improve the team by trading him - then see ya Paul - its been great.
Posted Wednesday January 09, 2013, About: Comment about wife sparked Melo's anger at KG
Wives, kids, off limits. I'm a life long C's fan but if what is being reported is true, then KG is a punk and I don't have any problems with Melo going after him.

Yeah, a splash but let's not make it a belly flop.

Posted Monday October 29, 2012, About: Ex-Celtic Allen: Disconnect hurts
Ray Allen, doesn't he play for the Heat? Thought so!
Posted Monday October 22, 2012, About: Ray Allen still says Celtics forced move to Heat
Let me see if I've got this straight. The Celtics offered Ray twice what the Heat did and they forced him to move to the Heat? Ray, we loved you but quit trying to explain and just say you didn't like Rondo - see, easy.
Posted Sunday October 14, 2012, About: Rangers-Red Sox deal in works?
How many seasons has Ellsbury hit thirty home runs? One. That makes him a legit 30/30 guy? I don't thinks so. He's had one outstanding year, just one. He'll be entering his 30s next season, and as with any ball player, age is a factor. Oh, and prior to his turn with the Red Sox, Carl Crawford was a lot more than just a speed guy - check his stats.

Best move for the Red Sox is to try to trade him for a young prospect or two but I don't think that's likely because of his contract status and his agent Boras. The Sox may have an opportunity to move him at next seasons trading deadline but if they're still in contention for a playoff spot at the time, they'll probably wind up keeping him.
