The southern SEC schools have a recruiting advantage. More warmer days of the year for the female students to wear skimpy outfits. This little fact makes 18 year old high school football players think with their little head and tell them to join SEC schools or other southern schools. Just look at all the winners of the BCS championship games. Only two northern schools: Ohio State and Tennessee. All the rest are from the southern half of the US.

If that is the case lets compare Boise with Washington St. Boise stadium 33,500 Wash St. stadium 35,117 thats pretty equal. Fanbase, I will use undergrads numbers Boise 17,349 Wash St. 21,726 pretty close also with a slight edge to Wash St. I don't know what the academics standards are for the Pac 10 but Im willing to guess that if they wanted to join the Pac 10 Boise could make the changes. Yes, they need to be invited but school officals and booster can work the phones and the press saying that they are interested. Which I dont hear.

I don't live anywhere near TCU or Boise but with PAC-10 expanding and the Big 12 losing two teams I never heard any news about Boise wanting to join the PAC-10 or TCU wanting to join the Big 12. If they want to be treated with respect step up and join one of the big conferences. If not, don't cry when people question your schedule strength.

I love football. I live football. Worst part of the year is between the Super Bowl and the start of training camp. Except for draft weekend. But, the Pro Bowl game is a snooze fest. The players don't really care except for the extra pay check and the trip to Hawaii.
