Lightly Salted Nuts's Comments

Hey Outlaw, really liked the Eric Church tune. Not one that I was familiar with; Smoke a Little Smoke is one of my favorites from him. Lightning had a bit of a Jim Croce sound here and there but I liked it.

Hank III. Still haven't heard enough by him but I do like the "family tradition" that he's holding on to.

Jamey. Love his music. I like his take on Nashville with Somewhere Between Jennings and Jones. I saw him on the big George Strait tribute a couple years back and he had some interesting stories. Made it clear that George giving him a chance as a songwriter may have saved him. I was surprised when I heard that he wrote George's Give It Away.

Hadn't heard that one by Alan and King George. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. I like that Alan can mix things up a bit and mix in a bit of that unique Gulf Coast sound; something similar to what Mary Chapin Carpenter used to do as well.

Old Crow Medicine Show. Heard them for the first time about a week ago. I need to give them more opportunity for appreciating them.

Gary Allan. That's one of my favorites. Another who gets some play but not enough to become a headliner on the current country music scene. He carries just enough edge in his music though that you can't help but enjoy it.

Tracy. I like a lot of his music and am glad to see him making a surge again. The first song I heard by him coming back was You Find Out Who Your Friends Are. It was the one without Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney; just Tracy but it was the video and it still had cameos (I distinctly remember George Jones in it.) Paint Me a Birmingham is another great from him.

You've really re-introduced me to a lot of good stuff. I find myself listening to Outlaw Country on Sirius more and more. I'm really growing tired of the same ol same ol on The Highway. Definitely broadens my appreciation for what I'd forgotten about. Thanks.

He's got some great stuff. I first heard about him 20 yrs back when his kid started recording (Shaver) and had dad guest in some videos.

Another great choice, Mick.

Anotjer often forgotten choice would be Billy Joe Shaver.

That was supposed to be the Covington/Shooter video.

Don't know why I didn't recognize the NGDB song by the title. Just gave it a listen here at home and I always did like that one. Kinda similar to Dan Fogelberg's Same Auld Lang Syne or Harry Chapin's Taxi.

Found Jaded Lover. Thanks for telling me about that. He's got such a great unique sound about him.

I know Pissin in the Wind; I'll have to check out Jaded Lover.

Oh, yeah, I didn't mention your recognition of Waylon, Merle or Sr but then I really didn't think it was necessary.

Outlaw, some great options there. I've always been a fan of Keith Whitley and the short ride that he had (but it's great for the memories).

I kinda laughed at the NGDB in this group cuz they're definitely a different breed from most in your choices. Not that's it's a bad choice though.

Dwight and Buck doin Bakersfield is great just because I appreciated Dwight giving Buck the nod to join him on a song made famous by Buck. That's just class.

I was listeining to Outlaw Country on Sirius the other day and I heard them play some Jerry Jeff Walker. Just love Jerry though; almost anything by him but two of my very favorites are "Hill Country Rain" and "LA Freeway". Got introduced to his music while in high school by the Chef at the restaurant that I worked at. Grateful for that.

On a new country note, Bucky Covington just teamed up with Shooter Jennings on a single called "Drinking Side of Country". Pretty good.

Not what I'd consider the typical sports anthem but after reading the article I think I recall hearing about this. Don't know if it's the whole disco theme or just the sound but an odd mix IMO.

Sorry but that was funny.

I've got some things to wrap up here at the office. May be back on later. Take care.

His lawyer should recognize that there was an inadequate defense because he didn't have one. You've got that many accusations, eye witness accounts, and then his adopted son speaking out.

He and OJ should be roomies.

Nope, never seen any postings. Funny though. I see Ventura and think Cali; not NY.

Seriously? Didn't think FN was around that long. I've had an account since 07 and didn't realize it. Think I created one to comment on something and forgot about it.

That's funny! Somebody should have done a meds inventory before she left the office.
