No he really doesn't have a point. Whats his solution?

Oh - I get it - it's more Hank hate. The NL West is bad so Hank's mad. The National League still has no DH - so Hank is mad. The Yankees aren't making the playoffs, so Hank is mad. Enough is enough. He's on the level of Curt Schilling with this garbage now.

Does anyone realize that Hank doesn't even run the team really? Hal Steinbrenner does. Hank is the defacto blowhard.

This guy really doesn't know when to say when.
Posted Tuesday September 16, 2008, About: Kiffin still out in Oakland
Ryan is supposed to be the hero here? Are you kidding me? Somehow Kiffin is lacking in leadership? This team has been God AWFUL since Gruden left and yes that includes Callahan's 1 year. That organization is as much a joke as the NY Knicks are.

Uhoh looks like I posted about baseball when I shouldnt have. Didnt realize this was an active non-Mets thread.

The Phils decision not to offer more than 3 years now shows to be the correct choice. Great to see in the end the Phils made the right choice and hurt the mets in the mean time. Enjoy retirement Wags.

Dumb. Thats all I can say.

Yea - 4 years got the deal done. But it also got him out of Philly. Paying him $10 million next year stings, but they're not the Pirates here. Striking gold with Lidge is great - but that happened by chance.

Put down the glue dude. Eventually, you will be wearing a diaper. That stuff gets medieval on your stomach.

Why do so many of you think Brady "deserved" that hit? Because he's better than your QB? Grow up.

Well, it's not a dirty hit. Plain and simple. Please note who is on top of Pollard - which this picture captures rather accurately.

I don't wish this on anyone. An injury, that is.

But I'm also not going to shed a tear, of course, for a player who participated in running up scores on teams to prove a point. No - I'm not saying I'm glad. I'm just saying I don't have to be all "poor Brady" about it.

(Two) Torre's no dummy. He must have seen the writing on the wall. Not only did the Yankees not totally want him back, the run was over, but Torre probably felt it was not a good time to manage a team with ridiculously high expectations that was going to need a couple of rebuilding years. Girardi will be the sacrificial lamb....

Eh, Torre wanted to return. The writing on the wall became clear when they low balled him an offer (which was a disgrace), an offer they knew he would refuse.

I just summed up both New York Jeter Fans as well as Yankee haters all in one run-on sentence.
Posted Monday September 08, 2008, About: A-Rod's slip of tongue: Yanks done
Yea, yea, A-Rod stinks, cant hit in the clutch, Jeter is pretty and great, I snuggle in his jock, blah blah blah lets go Yankees.
Posted Monday September 08, 2008, About: A-Rod's slip of tongue: Yanks done
Newsday has finally gone off the wall to make a story. This is madness.

So A-Rod acknowledges Toronto is ahead in the standings, playing really well, and would be a force if they were playoff bound. Isn't he stating the obvious - at least about the standings? So A-Rod basically acknowledges fact and we're supposed to believe he's given up or something?

This is what journalism, sports journalism, has become.

Lendaleusc06: I have absolutely no clue what you were getting at in that post. None whatsoever.

Oh - and so you have it pictured in your head, we were behind 3rd base, upper level. I found the manager near those concessions down there. He was straight ahead, near the railing, which falls under seats, obviously. I was positioned outside of the shade provided by those seats. He was standing in the direction of the concessions, away from the field. They only saw me, not him. Then we both got drenched. Hope that provides more of a picture.

Nobody is dumb enough to do that. So that explains it.

That usher is a tool box they're not allowed to do that. You should've asked for his boss. Mets fans cheer all over when they come down. Then the fighting starts (up top section, ofcourse). I've seen fights at Shea and Giants stadium as well started by NY fans...it happens anywhere really.

Delayed response here, sorry. But its funny you brought that up. I'm a cornball and I did ask for the manager. I started talking to the manager, and then suddenly it started raining. No - not actual rain. We (me and the manager) had beer dumped on us by Philly fans who weren't really aiming for the manager. That took precedence over anything I had to say.

That said, Met fans start fights too. Everyone has idiots.

then you understand what it was like to be a Patriots fan until this century.

Of course. Just keep in mind that in 10 years you are going to have a bunch of 20-somethings all over the country who are Patriots diehards.

They won't come to an Eagles game, however, which is fine because I wouldn't let them sit near me anyway.

I can't say I blame you. And I wouldn't blame them for fearing attending one of those games. Not because of the fear, really. Fear of a fight is one thing. Fear of getting assaulted, violently - coupled with the possibility of legal trouble, is good enough to keep me out of there.

Attending a Phils-Mets game earlier this season, I wasn't allowed to stand up for the final 5 innings. I wasn't cursing or yelling. I was caught cheering for a Jose Reyes home run. And the usher told me to sit, or im out.

2 innings later, I raised my hand with urgency, and cried out to the usher that I had to go to the bathroom. He asked me if I thought I was funny. I said yes, very. And he flipped me off. But he did let me relieve myself.

Yea, some of us do. But atleast we were alive to enjoy that past.

Being 'alive' to look back on a title is a weird explanation there.

I know alot of Cowboys fans my age who are simply that because we were roughly 10 or 11 years old at the time of their dynasty's commencement. Thats fine, really. However - I do respect a fan who has been a fan their entire life and continues to be, despite the lack of a title. Thats what I say.

I'm here on Thursdays. Try the veal.

Anyway, I'll explain. My 3 favorite teams go up against 3 from that city, and with that comes alot of animosity. And the debates get heated. It's only going to get better, or worse, depending how you look at it. Because the the Eagles-Giants & Mets-Phillies showdowns seemingly meaning more by the season, with both being contenders, it's going to be fun.

I even hate the Liberty Bell. Its not all its cracked up to be.

Listen I hate Philadelphia as best as I can, but I like to keep it to the sports and the city itself (NY v Philly) in general. Not where you can score crack. Because NY isn't exactly Martha's Vineyard.

Wow. You're pathetic. Just because your whole family hates you, you don't have to take it out on a city you've never been to.
