Oh - I get it - it's more Hank hate. The NL West is bad so Hank's mad. The National League still has no DH - so Hank is mad. The Yankees aren't making the playoffs, so Hank is mad. Enough is enough. He's on the level of Curt Schilling with this garbage now.
Does anyone realize that Hank doesn't even run the team really? Hal Steinbrenner does. Hank is the defacto blowhard.

Dumb. Thats all I can say.
Yea - 4 years got the deal done. But it also got him out of Philly. Paying him $10 million next year stings, but they're not the Pirates here. Striking gold with Lidge is great - but that happened by chance.

Put down the glue dude. Eventually, you will be wearing a diaper. That stuff gets medieval on your stomach.

Well, it's not a dirty hit. Plain and simple. Please note who is on top of Pollard - which this picture captures rather accurately.
I don't wish this on anyone. An injury, that is.
But I'm also not going to shed a tear, of course, for a player who participated in running up scores on teams to prove a point. No - I'm not saying I'm glad. I'm just saying I don't have to be all "poor Brady" about it.

Eh, Torre wanted to return. The writing on the wall became clear when they low balled him an offer (which was a disgrace), an offer they knew he would refuse.
So A-Rod acknowledges Toronto is ahead in the standings, playing really well, and would be a force if they were playoff bound. Isn't he stating the obvious - at least about the standings? So A-Rod basically acknowledges fact and we're supposed to believe he's given up or something?
This is what journalism, sports journalism, has become.
Lendaleusc06: I have absolutely no clue what you were getting at in that post. None whatsoever.
Nobody is dumb enough to do that. So that explains it.

Delayed response here, sorry. But its funny you brought that up. I'm a cornball and I did ask for the manager. I started talking to the manager, and then suddenly it started raining. No - not actual rain. We (me and the manager) had beer dumped on us by Philly fans who weren't really aiming for the manager. That took precedence over anything I had to say.
That said, Met fans start fights too. Everyone has idiots.

Of course. Just keep in mind that in 10 years you are going to have a bunch of 20-somethings all over the country who are Patriots diehards.

I can't say I blame you. And I wouldn't blame them for fearing attending one of those games. Not because of the fear, really. Fear of a fight is one thing. Fear of getting assaulted, violently - coupled with the possibility of legal trouble, is good enough to keep me out of there.
Attending a Phils-Mets game earlier this season, I wasn't allowed to stand up for the final 5 innings. I wasn't cursing or yelling. I was caught cheering for a Jose Reyes home run. And the usher told me to sit, or im out.
2 innings later, I raised my hand with urgency, and cried out to the usher that I had to go to the bathroom. He asked me if I thought I was funny. I said yes, very. And he flipped me off. But he did let me relieve myself.

Being 'alive' to look back on a title is a weird explanation there.
I know alot of Cowboys fans my age who are simply that because we were roughly 10 or 11 years old at the time of their dynasty's commencement. Thats fine, really. However - I do respect a fan who has been a fan their entire life and continues to be, despite the lack of a title. Thats what I say.

I'm here on Thursdays. Try the veal.
Anyway, I'll explain. My 3 favorite teams go up against 3 from that city, and with that comes alot of animosity. And the debates get heated. It's only going to get better, or worse, depending how you look at it. Because the the Eagles-Giants & Mets-Phillies showdowns seemingly meaning more by the season, with both being contenders, it's going to be fun.

Well...I've been to Philly. It's not puuurrreee filth, per se. Haha.
Because that would mean it's clean.
Just kidding, just kidding.
