The Rangers and Islanders are incredibly boring franchises, that's why. Sean Avery is the only person on either team that's even remotely interesting, and every one hates him. If the next outdoor game is Rangers-Islanders, it would fail horribly outside New York.

I forgot to mention that it was pretty cool that the Pittsburgh fans gave Coburn an ovation for getting off the ice. I know damn well that a Pittsburgh player wouldn't be given the same courtesy here in Philadelphia. The fans here can be pretty embarrassing.

Sorry, Dave. I'm just as much of a fan as you are, but when the Flyers can't come up with a win when they easily could have sealed it is not a good sign. Richards and Hatcher are the only two players who showed up this series. Briere must be homesick for Quebec.

I agree, bostongm. I don't want to see any undue interference from the refs - just some nice end-to-end hockey for 4+ games. This will be the nastiest series in the East, though. 24 games in the last 3 seasons between these two teams has made for a lot of bad blood, and it intensifies every game they play, except for the last game of the season series when the Penguins barely showed up.

To be fair in the aftermath of the Avery Rule, the NHL should institute the Crosby Rule and make it illegal for Crosby to try to grow a playoff beard. That mustache he has going is pathetic and gross.

I can't wait for the Flyers to absolutely rock Crosby in the Conference Finals, if the Penguins pull off the win today.
