Firstly, The NFL sells its games via Sunday Ticket with DirectV selling the fans "down the road". The NFL is now trying to dictate where you watch the games and WHO your cable provider is! I believe that this was the plan all along. The NFL knew that cable would NOT want to give away a piece of the NFL pie. The NFL makes a TON of money from TV and when TV wants to make a little the NFL cries "FOUL"... "You don't like your subscribers.." etc...etc..
The NFL needs to throw the yellow flag on itself. They have basically taken the average fan out of the picture. They have shown that they just don't care if you don't have the money to come see them. Golf was the rich man's sport, well now it's football. Example... Super Bowl... the average family guy can't afford to go to that. The NFL should change it's logo to say "Taking the average fan out of the game since 1990" or "NFL -It's a corporate greed machine."
The NFL should NEVER be allowd to dictate how any company that also wants to make a profit use their "merchandise" This is like you going to Kmart and buying a blanket and being told by the cashier that you can only use it in the months of Nov-Feb and only on Sundays and only if you wash it everyweek.
I mean come on... this is the NFL telling its fan base "We don't care". Go to the MORE expensive and horrible service that DirectV has to offer and yes I'm a DTV subscriber but when my contract runs out next Nov you can bet I won't be. The service is the WORST. Anyway....
The NFL should be a pay per view service so the Fans [that they seem to be concerned about] can watch his/her team every week. This day and age and technology that shouldn't be a problem at all.
NO.... the NFL wants you to believe its the Cable companies evil empire that is holding you back when IN FACT its the NFL holding you hostage!
