Posted Thursday November 01, 2012, About: Nash merely hopeful he'll play Friday
Miss the Suns training staff yet, bro?
Posted Tuesday September 18, 2012, About: Replacement players?
Bill Watters is confused. He thought he was watching replacement players in Toronto for this past decade.
Posted Tuesday September 18, 2012, About: Cubs All-Star's days numbered
Dear interns, I hope you used air quotes when referring to LaHair as an All Star around the intern cubicles.
Posted Friday August 24, 2012, About: This just in (from Ted Leonsis): Toronto loves hockey
Hmmm...I'm confused. Did you leave the sarcasm tag off that comment? I would imagine most Leaf fans would be in favor of trading their entire team for Washington's. Unless 35-37 win seasons are what you Leaf fans are shooting for.
Posted Monday July 16, 2012, About: NHL declaring war on NHLPA
Oh boy...sounds like we're in for Poker Boom 2.0 in Canada this winter.
Posted Friday July 13, 2012, About: Quick's backup wants out of L.A.
A .909 save percentage playing on a team who's priorities are 1) defense 2) defense 3) defense, 4) offense does not make one a first string goalie. I can however understand his desire to leave LA and go to a team where he will get more play time.
Posted Friday July 13, 2012, About: Iafrate's son breaks first rule of Caps camp
Oh boy...development camp news featuring a player who wasn't even good enough to be among the top 270 draft eligible players. This is bad...even for the interns.
Posted Friday July 13, 2012, About: Penn State TVs suddenly switched to public access
Just because you don't show it on the school's TVs doesn't mean it didn't happen. Shame.
Posted Wednesday July 11, 2012, About: Suter apologizes to Nashville
You take that back. I get all my hockey info from The Tennessean!
Posted Wednesday July 11, 2012, About: Nash singing 'No, Canada'
WHAT?!?! Nash better makes sure he takes his "For Sale" sign off his house in Columbus if that's what Howson's asking. That's ridiculous. Seguin alone would be overpaying for Nash. Let alone a starting #1 goalie, a blue chip prospect and a first rounder.
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: Nash singing 'No, Canada'
Can anyone give me an example (rumored obviously) of what Columbus are asking for Nash?
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: Indians closer blames Red Sox for Bard's struggles
I couldn't agree with this more. When you get on the hill you had better come with the attitude that you're better than every hitter you're facing. The moment that doubt starts to creep into you mind is when you start to get in trouble. When you start second guessing your pitch selection or even worse, your stuff you're in for a tough run. Right now it doesn't seem like he's trusting his fastball which is his best pitch.
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: Nash singing 'No, Canada'
I think more accurately, Nash only wants to play for a contender which isn't a hockey first (read: Canadian) market. If you're talking contenders, Vancouver as it's currently built should win a cup long before that mess in San Jose does. So why wouldn't the Canucks be on the list?
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: 'Canes captain hoping for elite forward
He concusses one brother then takes this shot at his other brother/new teammate. Who needs enemies when you have a big brother like Eric.
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: Detroit's next enforcer: 'Dirty Harry'
Well the sound I heard from 6,000 fans in St. John's last season was a collective gasp when Orr completely missed his check and obliterated himself into the boards in the corner. High comedy.
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: Nash singing 'No, Canada'
This bothers me way more than it should. If this report is true, I think it honestly changes how I feel about seeing wear the Maple Leaf in international competition. It's an illogical feeling really, but I can't help thinking less of him now.
Posted Monday July 09, 2012, About: Paul won't rule Knicks out for future
Oh my god...would all these stars just **** about their contracts and future plans and just focus on the GD contract they have signed. They cry about wanting contract extensions so their futures are protected, but then whine about being locked into a contract when everything isn't going 100% their way. You can't have it both ways. And Dwight Howard, I'm looking directly at (a picture of) you when I'm ranting about this!
Posted Saturday July 07, 2012, About: Luongo: 'It's time to move on'
Stranger - put me down for:
Leafs Elimination: April 3
Burke's firing: Jan 31
Posted Saturday July 07, 2012, About: Devils fan burns Parise jersey
I thought such immature antics were limited to people like Predators GM David Poile.
Posted Saturday July 07, 2012, About: Reggie wants to apologize to Carter's widow
Welcome to America - the land of free speech (as long as your ready to apologize profusely for an opinion that is even remotely controversial).
Posted Thursday July 05, 2012, About: Jays' first-round pick landing in majors soon?
I can't really speak on how they're prepared, but I just took a look at the Jays pitchers over the past month or so and only 6 times in the last 30 days has a Jays pitcher thrown over 100 pitches. And only one time in 30 days has a pitcher thrown over 105 pitches.

Compare that to the Yanks who've had 7 guys thrown over 100 pitches in the last two weeks!

So I don't see Farrell going all Dusty Baker on his starters.
