they were losing to the Wizards because the players were a bunch of whining babies that missed mike dantoni. porter and kerr wanted them to become a REAL basketball team that played defense. this one is all on the players. i live in PHX and watched this first hand. the players simply refused to listen to their coach. it blew me away that so many classy veterans like nash and grant hill never stepped up in defense of their coach and told the team to shut up and buy in. THEY ARE LOSERS! they only care about their own numbers and not playing defense. look at Boston's big 3 and the hit their numbers took to win a title. those are winners with the right attitude

screw Shaq. he is becoming the TO of basketball. all he cares about is trying to remain relevant. yes, he's having a great year on the court but why not let your play be all the talking necessary? Some professional athletes have an incredibly hard time watching the spotlight shine on someone else. why not show some class and dignity by helping to pass the torch to D Howard instead of engaging in this verbal warfare? lord knows that Shaq has been the benefit of PLENTY of favorable calls in his prime

Play defense, rebound, play defense, and be a good teammate. All of the weak points in Amare's game have to do with effort, or lack of. Maybe he still thinks he's in high school where he didn't have to try that hard to be great. He needs to grow up and earn the respect that he's looking for.

I heard a rumor so let me throw this one at you guys...
Early in his time at USC (freshman or sophomore yr) Sanchez got in a little trouble for not knowing what "NO" means when he was with the ladies. Possibly talking even rape here. Pete apparantly got him off the hook by "talking" to who needed to talk to in order to make this go away.
BOTTOM LINE: Pete got Sanchez off on rape charges and expected a bit more in return, like sticking around for his senior year. And seriously, think about it, since when does the laid back Pete Carroll ever get pissed about stuff? Most coaches encourage their guys to go get paid, Tressell advised Beanie Wells to leave after this year. Something to think about, let me know what you guys think.
