Until and IF the Cubs get a new and relocated stadium the Cubs will play a lot of day games. Wrigley Field is essentially in a residential neighborhood and night games and parking are disruptive to the comings and goings of the nearby residents. These isn't even any official large scale parking nearby so parking in front of apartment buildings and small shops is the norm. As much as I love Wrigley Field, this game at this location will see mostly day games.
Trouble with most of Cal's recruits......they're too GOOD to listen! Do you suppose they listen in the classroom? Oh yeah, classes are for STUDENT atheletes, not pros in waiting.
Playoff bound teams do this all the time when they have a "lock" at seasons end. Resting your core players has been the NBA way for a long time. What makes any more difference if you rest your guys early or late? People still pay big bucks at the end of the season to not see the stars. Stern should pay more attention to getting the officiating straightened out and let us fans decide what we're going to pay for. I'd like to know what refs are working a game ahead of time so I can decide if I want to see a free throw contest of a brawl. Butt out Stern! (and give the money back)
I meant the Longhorns were doomed. Muschamp turned right (to FL) and the Horns defense turned left (as in up and left!) Ask LSU how Muschamp's defense is working out in Gatorland.
LMAO...............only an idiot would call Tebow a fool. He's already parlayed his football persona into millions with an unlimited future in many fields (football included.) He's hard working, God fearing, intelligent and humble. Suffer the jealous "fools" who are blind to his qualities.
Agreed......and it was a smart move by the Rangers to bring in Dempster's catcher, Geovani Soto, to handle him. Don't have to go thru the pitcher/catcher learning curve.
Agreed...........the cubbies have some young bats with a lot of potential that have just been elevated or are close to being brought up. All of a sudden, with the Rizzo from the Pads deal, there seems to be sunshine on the horizon. But, alas, I've been a Cubs fan for 50 years so I realize that talent alone doesn't win pennants. Theo seems to be making some decent low-keyed moves, tho'.
That show's remarkable "doucheability" on your part. Question the final outcome of his QB progression......but your'e a **** to question his athleticism.
Where in this post, or in any other post for that matter, does anyone (including Tim) say anything about him being ordained or being a pastor? If any of you haters that brought this point up knew anything about what goes on in a church you would know that lay people often share their experiences of faith and give testimony. Instead of showing your arse go out in the world and do something POSITIVE for your community and humanity in general. Didn't think so.....have another beer.
Exactly! This miserable sob better make sure he includes his future debt to Jeremy Shockey after the liable suit gets thru the courts. He mistakenly called Shockey a snitch.....so what would that make him?
His dad was coaching a couple of years ago down here in the summer in the Florida State League and I got to meet him. Prince is just as big around as his daddy......but about 6 inches shorter. But you gotta give them credit. They both hit he hide off the ball!
Well said.........don't think the number of posts is anywhere near as important as the quality of posts. Usually just content to read and ponder, however this guy hit a nerve. Doesn't he understand how he is perceived? Mama always said "if you have nothing intelligent to contribute, shut your yapp!"
....and you have 18000 + comments and, although I don't recall ever seeing any of them before today, if they are all like this one it takes 9 posts to say the same thing. I guess yapp pretty much says it all.
As per ESPNChicago: "Iowa is likely taking that calculated risked with Brian Allen."
"For one, he has put on nearly 35 pounds in the last two months and is already 6-foot-1 and 250 pounds. Secondly, his brother Jack Allen, a Hinsdale Central senior, will play offensive line at Michigan State next season. Finally, Brian Allen took third place in the 215-pound class at the Illinois state wrestling tournament."
