Heater's Comments

Posted Sunday November 22, 2009, About: Heat willing to trade Jones
just another one of the wasted moves and millions by Riley...and I think the player Miami really could have used was Artest...Riley's a supreme mess-up these days...
Posted Saturday November 21, 2009, About: Why Knicks passed on Iverson
not to hate, but i knew reality would set in for the Heat...Unfortunately, when Boozer publically wanted to come to miami for a one year try-out with a one year contract that wouldn't have really hurt the heat as much as waiting for Beasley's consistency has, Riley didn't take him and the only talent who's out there for nothing is Iverson. Now as the Heat hit their downward spiral of their projectile motion journey, Miami really needs help and Iverson could be their "Answer", because, to be quite honest, he's the only one available...plus, Spoe still has that 'go down with a sinking ship' personality instead of 'let's change our course to avoid sinking'...i.e. since Q isn't consistently starting at SF, give it to Dorrell, who's athletic, and let Q come off the bench...We are short on bigs, athleticism and talent, so instead of trying to be a defensive teams against teams who can just shoot over us, jump over us or outquick our so called defensive players, shouldn't we be running more? So put the runners on the floor...
Posted Thursday November 19, 2009, About: Source: Heat 'hot' after Iverson
Miami needs him...as stated, the heat are run by Riley...when he could have traded for Boozer or signed a good player in the off season, he sat on his hands...and again is 'mulling'...riley, scared money don't make none...
Posted Monday November 09, 2009, About: Heat sitting Beasley in fourth quarters
I don't know what spoe is watching but Haslem's defense hasn't been much better...The upside to Beasley is he's still learning while Haslem is on the downward spiral of his career...Haslem no longer jumps like he used to (and that wasn't so great then) and the bad part is Haslem looks like he's in the best shape he's ever been in. Don't get me wrong, but I think Spoe's an idiot. He's trying to look like a genius. I know the Heat are 5-1 and really should be 6-0 (shady calls during that Phoenix game), but Bease came in more focused this year but he can't be expected to be perfect because Spoe himself hasn't been. With that, Bease has made a commitment and is trying hard, so Spoe needs to make a commitment to Beasley and help him develop instead of making him question his ability and hurting his confidence...build him up, just can't keep breaking him down.
Posted Thursday October 29, 2009, About: Iverson, Hamilton blame Curry for Pistons woes
let's clear this up: Iverson a whiner? that's not what he was known for during his career...he's known for not whining, getting fouled, not saying anything to the refs, etc...Iverson doesn't get many technicals for complaining or screaming at refs. Neither has been known for behavioral problems except not liking practice.

Next, Iverson and Rip have been in the league for a minute and it was Curry's first year coaching, so what they're saying is believable. Stop bashing Iverson already...his play will speak for itself.
Posted Wednesday September 23, 2009, About: Heat bringing Lucas III to camp
Wow...We get Lucas...ohhh, wait, wrong generation..well at least he didn't go after teh elder Lucas...that's about as positive as I can get on this one...
Posted Thursday September 17, 2009, About: Why Riley doesn't want new point guard
intelligent post...unfortunately it once again points out for every good move Riley makes, he makes about 5 bad ones...just look at draft history...
Posted Wednesday September 16, 2009, About: Why Riley doesn't want new point guard
Riley does indeed seem confused and mixed up...between the signings of Livingston, Smush, Anfernee Hardaway, trades for ricky Davis, Blount, it seems he's always over thinking things...trying to look like he found a gem...again, a genius makes complicated things look simple...a fool makes simple things look hard...

Why keep letting players with track records for contributing walk and then signing pass-their-prime players and other non-contributors?
Posted Wednesday September 16, 2009, About: Why Riley doesn't want new point guard
Even funnier is while he was searching for another point guard, we were all scratching our heads and thinking..."ahh...don't we need another big?" I would have loved Iverson because of who he is..but we always needed a solid pf (which I think we should get Boozer for a test run for a year and if we don't like him, get Bosh) and if Oneal is back, then get a great SF to help dWade...

to add onto that: you may leave a party, but return when a new regime is established...

Let's be honest, with Pat Riley and even his dumb comments to the media, he seems to think he can say whatever and get away with it. Why hasn't Arison shut him up already?

ok...let's go deeper...

If you don't agree with your political party, you leave...become independent or if republican, you become democrat.

I'm not following DWade, I'm conflicted with how the HEAT as an organization is doing things...

lol...you got me there...
Posted Tuesday September 15, 2009, About: Heat's superstar backup PG is...
you don't get it...its not about being the fan of a player. If Mike Tyson spits on me, am I a bandwagon fan because I stop liking him? If Pat Riley basically does nothing for the fans for the last 5 years of his tenure, but drives away our star player and the owner doesn't intervene, am I supposed to stay and be a fan so I won't be relegated to owning the title of "bandwagon" fan? call it whatever you want, but its not going to make me stay with the heat if they lose Wade because, as stated, something should be done by management, the owner, etc. to keep the fans happy. we pay for the tickets...If I don't like the new taste of the pizza at Pizza hut, am I supposed to keep eating to avoid being called a bandwagon pizza eater? enlighten me please...
Posted Tuesday September 15, 2009, About: Manager: Pistons lied to Iverson
Media spun it like Allen was the villain and the cattle followed. Those that once like Iverson all of a sudden disliked him...people are easily led and are quick to over to support the popular opinion.
Posted Tuesday September 15, 2009, About: Manager: Pistons lied to Iverson
He kept an untalented team in the thick of things for many years...you have never heard philly fans say bad things about him...in fact, he usually got a standing ovation from the fans even when he played on Denver. check it out on youtube.

He took that team to the finals and year after year past the 1st round without complaining...Even Wade can't take a hapless Miami team alone...not even kobe has done it. Paul Pierce had to wait for help also. Name another player on that team that was great when Iverson went to the finals...or during those playoff years...

fans aren't bandwagon if they leave with Wade. if Miami does nothing and lets riley lose wade, then they deserve to lose fans. stop labeling them as bandwagon fans and just as fans who make decisions based on how the Heat organization is treating their players and fans. Riley would do the fans a big disservice by losing Wade. We've let him get away with these messed up rosters, but if he loses Wade, then he's gone too far and if Aryson let's him, the fan base can decide whether they can accept it or not. has nothing with being a bandwagon fan.

C'mon blame it on whatever you want, but its true the lakers may keep kobe on the floor, but even then he has to do less and gets to conserve energy even while on the floor because he has talent around him.

Funny you bring up KG, because over playing him and the other big 3 is he reason that Boston hit their peak too early...and KG was injured.

Remember one important thing:

All eyes are on Riley...All the FA will be aware by their agents or by watching how Riley treats his players.

How Riley treats Wade dictates whether another star will come to Miami and stars seeing they have no say so and Riley is a tyrant will cause them to stay away and find the same money elsewhere.
Posted Tuesday September 15, 2009, About: Heat's superstar backup PG is...
not about bandwagon...sometimes tough love is in order...show Aryson the fans count. Get rid of Riley or get him on the ball...DWade can show the team his opinion counts when he leaves. Riley's ignored Wade. So by not signing an extension, Wade showed him him riley he has one foot in the door, one out. Remember what Bosh said? "I'm glad my team is making moves and not just sitting idle waiting for 2010." He and Wade are good friends and I think he was making a comment about Miami with that. If your ego doesn't allow you to take into account your super star players opinion, then your super star should leave...
Posted Monday September 14, 2009, About: Manager: Pistons lied to Iverson
exactly...having to come off the bench even to a guard greater than yourself is hard after so many years of being the leading scorer on your team...and putting stuckey on the court while he's on the bench -- well he couldn't take it out on stuckey who was one of them, but he never welcomed Iverson...and finally knowing that Iverson was not only replacing him in the starting line up and as the go to guy, but also replacing his best bud in Chauncey on the team, Rip was on a tear last season...Iverson was put in a rock and a hard place. i don't think Dumars expected Rip to act out like that since Detroit always appeared team oriented. So I think he gave Iverson an out by letting him sit, probably said something close to an apology behind closed doors. Iverson definitely was the fall guy...let's see if he can prove this in Memphis...
