There might be a Bengals fan or two that might go for Dalton. But that seems really ridiculous.

Most garbage stats that dont matter: your post.

If people cant tell how good the guy is simply by watching then they wont get it. Luck is a far better QB than the stats would lead people to believe.

Why not?

Im not sure how he can comeback from that. Maybe lowered expectations will help.

I dont think its a bad trade...worth the shot. I just dont see a reason he will be better this season.

Looking at stats from 4 years ago doesnt make much sense to me. The guy lost his confidence last season...where is the stat for that? And what stat is bringing it back?

Roll out the excuses

With a lesser QB I'd agree, but Rodgers makes the receivers not the other way around. Jarrett Boykin showed flashes last season, and the draft is fairly deep at wideout. If they can bring in or draft a receiving TE they should be pretty set on offense imo.

I don't think Rodgers escaping the pocket is a sign of the o-line being bad. It's more of him trying to extend plays which is what makes him so great. But he has to know when to give up. If he had thrown that ball away vs. Chicago he probably doesn't get hit and get hurt. The one big concern - at least for me - is that this is Rodgers 4th center in as many years. They really need to find some continuity at that position.

I thought the o-line did a great job of run blocking last season. PFT ranked them 10th overall and Football Outsiders ranked them 5th in run blocking. Having Bulaga back and getting another year under Bahktiari could make this one of the better o-lines in the league. Maybe it was more of Lacy being hesitant within the offense, or maybe just teams stacking the box vs. the likes of Flynn and Tolzien. I'm not totally sure. Probably a combo of both. Starks isn't the better or harder running back but he's better at getting downhill quicker. He is that one cut runner that fits into the zone blocking scheme. Its good to see him back and with Lacy they'll be one of the best backfields in the league. Its scary to think what they'll do with Rodgers keeping the defense honest.

Depth and injuries is always a concern, but sooner or later you gotta think we will make it through the year with minimum casualties. Their luck has to even out eventually, right? 3 straight division titles and a SB win over the last 4 years is what makes me trust TT. He wouldn't sign a guy just to sign a guy. He's got plan.

I can agree about EDS.

But Jones was a case of letting a guy go early rather than paying him - which is typical of TT and the guy he learned from Ron Wolf. The passing game isn't built around the receivers as they're only as good as their QB. The offensive line was one of the strengths last year. Without their all world QB teams stacked the box and GB still ran it down their throat. And GB is getting back depth and a starter on the offensive line (Sherrod, Tretter, and Bulaga). I think they're looking solid as of right now.

I don't mind the Peppers signing as it's basically a one year deal. He was stuck on a garbage defense last year. He's big enough to play DE and athletic enough to play OLB. It gives the defense more versatility or makes them more "multiple" as McCarthy has been saying. Sure, Allen is younger but signing him seems like the Kampman experiment all over again. He just doesn't fit.

Ahmad Carrol.

So he was pointing out the obvious?

Of course its doable its the trend in the league.

So who they are isnt important but those 3 are worth it...which one is it?
Posted Thursday March 20, 2014, About: Thibs OK if Rose's next game isn't with Chicago
I actually like Rose and have supported him but hes not a superstar. His offensive numbers are a product of him being the only viable option (he is not efficient) and his defense is helped by tremendous coaching/teamwork.

I just think its irrelevant to compare guys with different body types and play styles. And I dont think its fair to compare Roses injury to anyone elses. Bodys heal differently...we can get an idea from comparing it but we will never know.

And MVP doesnt mean he is good on both ends of the court.

So what? Guys win awards they dont deserve plenty. He wasnt the best player...it was LBJ fatigue by the voters.
Posted Thursday March 20, 2014, About: Thibs OK if Rose's next game isn't with Chicago
Hey if offense is all that matters then Rose and Melo are stars. But I would like to think people have higher standards.
Posted Thursday March 20, 2014, About: Thibs OK if Rose's next game isn't with Chicago
So it was irrelevant and you needed more players to try to make a point. Thats fine.

Its like me saying some WR can come back from an ACL tear and then naming a bunch of OL who did it. Makes no sense

Outside Paul the other guys arent worth mentioning. Rondo maybe but its not like he is back to form.

Why include West and Jefferson? They dont rely on a quickness...

He never was a superstar.
