Andy Reid is the one who has to go. He is the worst in game coach I have ever seen. Plus he is a terrible talent evaluator. Why sign a conerback for all that money when you cleary need some offense. Smith has been a bust at TE. They have never had a WR that has been anything other than TO. He has had a chance to win two games this year and ran straight dives into the line. Just Pathetic. Andy Reid coaches about as well as he parents.

It works both ways. If you have a minute go to Boston.com and click on any Red Sox article there are as many comments from Yankees fans trying to get under the skin of Sox fans. I care what the Yankees are doing because they are my teams biggest rivals. Just like most Yankees fans keep an eye on the Sox. This you are obsessed with us is old. It is what happens in a rivalry.

Red Sox Babe,

Actually they played on three teams together. The Red Sox, Blue Jays and Yankees.

What kills me in his book JC said that they discussed the benefits of using steriods with Clemens in his book. BUT he never actually saw them. I guess it depends on how much Jose likes you on what he says. What a hypocrite.
Posted Tuesday February 05, 2008, About: Will Pats be broken up in offseason?
The Colts are done. The Pats are so old.

Granted the Pats LB's and Rodney Harrison are old. The OL has one starter in his 30's. Stephen Neal is the only starter on the bad side of 30. None of the DL is over 30. The secondary outside of Harrison is young. QB, RB and TE are all in their 20's. Brady is going to be 30 but he has plenty of years left. They also have the 7th pick to plug on of the holes and 4 out of the top 95 picks. They may seem old because the have been an elite team for a while. LB's is the biggest offseason need and either a safety or CB. Kudo's to the Giants for doing to the Pats what the Pats did to the Rams. Don't write the eulogy for the Patriots yet because the nucleus is there and will be for a while.

I am a huge Moss fan but Jerry Rice is the greatest of all time.
Posted Thursday January 31, 2008, About: Why Moss didn't land in Green Bay
I was not sure about Merriweather but toward the end of the season he has really come on. It is going to be a fun day Sunday. You would be surprised at how many Giants fans there are in New England. Before the Pats existed they were the team of choice and a lot of fathers and grandfathers passed their fandom onto their childern.

The Pats should stay in the elite catergory for the next 4-5 years.
Posted Thursday January 31, 2008, About: Why Moss didn't land in Green Bay
it depends on what they do. Your right they have some holes at LB and in the secondary. If they re-sign Samuel CB's is OK and they have last year's first round pick Merriweather for either a safety or corner position. I think Stallworth is gone and Moss stays. They also have the 7th pick in the draft to fill a hole. BB usually likes vetrean LB's so I would think he would fill that position in FA. They are not over the cap and I think if it comes down to it they will take Moss over Samuel because they can replace AS with Merriweather and draft either a safety or another corner to play behind harrison for one more year. The OL and DL are fairly young. The 7th pick will be a big help.

The Patriots will use the franchise tag in a case where they feel the salary is worth the player. They franchised Vinatieri twice. When the value got to high they didn't franchise him and he signed with the Colts. They franchised Samuel last season. They try to sign players that they like before it gets too high. They really have not lost too many high end FA's.

I think of given the option of him walking or tagging him. They should tag him. Why let him go? From what I can gather it seems a contract is in the works they just can't officially sign him until FA starts. I did say worst case scenario. They did it with Asante Samuel. The tagged him and he signed for this year. Anyway I think Randy Moss stays with the Patriots.

BTW they compliment him with Welker.

50 year old fan
How is it fuzzy math???
Moss signed a one-year deal for $3 million but could make $5 million with incentives, ESPN said. I am not sure where he finished but by breaking the scoring record I will figure he reached all of his incentives.

So if he did nothing and got 3 that is 6 million less but he could with incentives make up to 5 which is still a lot less than 9. That is what he was going to get before the season. So he left 9.25 on the table for 3 with a CHANCE to make 5. He also opted out of his contract for 11.25 for 2008.My point was for the guy that said it was just about the money that he didn't go to GB. II will give you he will probably make 7-8 next 3-4 years. If they have not agreed to a contract I think the Pats worst case scenario is that they will franchise him which I believe I read will be 7.8.
He is staying in New England.
Posted Thursday January 31, 2008, About: Why Moss didn't land in Green Bay
He said he wants to stay a Patriot in the press conference so we shall see. For those who say he didn't take a large paycut. Try 6 million for this year and gave up 10 for 2008. I think he will stay for 3 years 21-24 million. For the other guy who said he is not that good, just think if he was still good he would have scored 30 TD's this year. It is one thing to be a fan and root against othet teams but at least be objective with your comments. I hate Isiah Thomas with all my heart but I will admit he was a great player.

He took a big pay cut to go to the Patriots. How can you say it was about the money? If he just wanted money he would have stayed in Oakland.

Casey is a free agent. Coco will either go to the Rangers or White Sox.
Posted Wednesday January 30, 2008, About: Why Red Sox didn't land Santana
Crsip is 4.75 2008, 5.75 2009 and an option for 8 for 2010. He is a bragain compared to a lot of CF's
Posted Wednesday January 30, 2008, About: Lawyers: Pettitte will back McNamee
I loved the comparison to Schilling, Schilling is lucky at 39 when he hits 91 on the gun. He has been 88, 89 the last two seasons. The no hit bid this year almost killed him. Clemens at 40 was hitting 95 and winning Cy's. Even RJ the last few years has been in serious decline. Nolan Ryan was good but hardly great his last few years. Clemens is a joke at this point.
Posted Wednesday January 30, 2008, About: Red Sox taking offers for Crisp
Sox management seems to deal with Borass fairly well. Besides they don't have to worry about it for at least 4 years.
Posted Wednesday January 30, 2008, About: Lawyers: Pettitte will back McNamee
I am skeptical as well that he only used it twice but so far the information seems to back him up. I just find Clemens arrogance/ignorance appalling and he is playing the fans for fools. Whatever happens to come his way at point I say bring it on.
Posted Wednesday January 30, 2008, About: Lawyers: Pettitte will back McNamee
Pettitte did cheat which we all agree on but what he didn't do is blame everyone else for it. Have a press conference playing a tape that said nothing and then storm off when the questions got too tough. He didn't cry that everyone is out to get him. He cheated yes but also fessed up. Clemens has done nothing but play than fans for fools. Clemens is reaping what he sowed.
