Big difference...Not a professional contract and La Masia is not only a football program but school, as well...Think of it as a scholarship offer that the boy can accept or turn down....Opportunity being given, not money

ESPN is a lousy network so it doesn't surprise me that they wouldn't pony up for the match, particularly for football which they have treated like an unwanted stepchild...Trying to 'take advantage' of Telemundo is probably not out of question either.

Until Americans start lobbying their networks to start carrying football more regularly and in HD, I have no problem watching it in Chinese so long as I can see the matches.

Plus, no ESPN means no chance of Tommy Smyth....Sooo, win-win
