Josh, if that's how you felt when you made your original remarks, you should have stayed with it and defended your position. Now you want me you accept your "I'm an idiot" apology/defense? Your recent remarks were very hurtful to many vets like myself. You have significant influence on young people in your community, especially minority children, and your remarks sent a very poor message. Do you want to show me that you are truly sorry? On every road trip, visit the nearest V.A. Hospital and apologize to the vets there, especially the black ones. After you have done that in every NBA city I will forgive you.

I think Ty would be a wonderful Athletic Director at a Mid-major university. There is not doubt that he would run clean programs and when away from the football forum, Ty is a very personable and engaging guy and would be effective at wringing donations from the alumni. Ty is just NOT the coach you want if you aspire to be a Top 25 program.

Trash him all you want but he was talking about EFFORT. If you read the Seattle papers he stated that it was hard for him to speak out because he hasn't pitched well this season but he was talking about EFFORT. Silva has at least tried each and every game unlike players like Yuniesky Betancourt. The problem is that the Mariners don't have any other players in the clubhouse with Huevos.

What good does it do if he waits a year and his family situation falls apart in the mean time? It's a lot of pressure on a young person to know that they are the family's hope of financial survival. Even if he ends up playing in Europe the compensation is usually well into six figures which is pretty darn good by any standard.

Since this suit asserts fraud in executing the purchase agreement it might actually have some teeth. It has nothing to do with arena's or anything AFTER the contract was signed. This suit is about lying to obtain the team. Could get very interesting if more emails are uncovered during discovery.

There will be no Presidential Pardon by Bush for Clemens. He leaves office in January and this case will not be fully resolved by then unless Roger admits to perjury and cuts a plea agreement which does not seem likely given his narcissistic personality.

Kelvin Sampson needs to be sent packing and the sooner the better.

He screws up at OU then lands on his feet at one of the premier basketball schools in the country and he screws that up before the ink is dry on his contract.

My dad used to say that "ignorance can be cured but stupidity is forever". Kelvin Sampson seems to suffer from terminal stupidity.
