The Yankees NEED Manny. A-Rod is an accident waiting to happen and Teixeira will put to much pressure on himself. Matsui (old), Melky (not a lead-off type) and Nady (not an everyday player) should all be trade for prospects to feed the farm. Manny has proven success in the playoffs.

Yankees need Manny. A-Rod and Teixeira are accidents waiting to happen in the post-season. The management knows that they need a dominant bat to protect A-Rod. Manny will provide proven playoff success. He will also add fear in the opposing teams minds. Though Manny is the same age give or take than the aged Matsui and Posada, his presence and skill set will have a more dramatic impact.
