I completely agree with Stoops that OU is not in a spoiler role...in that the Sooners will be Big 12 Champs and a BCS bowl is at stake.
And yet...they could have followed the yellow brick road to the BCS Title game, possibly against the Mountaineers. Unfortunately, they took the turn to Lubbock instead.

If this game isn't a spoiler, losing to Colorado and Tex. Tech spoiled my dinner on those Saturdays.
