I'm thinking that the little rumor before the draft of Crabtree being a diva when he visited the Cleveland Browns was probably true.

I think a 1st and 4th round pick with Steve Smith or Hixon will seal the deal.
Or a 2nd and 3rd with Smith or Hixon, should strongly be considered too.

Last year of Braylon's contract so Mangini has to take a deal and stop waiting for a better offer, before it's too late because Braylon will not resign after this season.

I cannot agree more. Tony Grossi and Mary Kay Calbot do not know a thing about football or the Browns, but yet The Plain Dealer still employs them.

I cannot tell you how many times Grossi has blogged or answered questions (on cleveland.com/browns) about the Browns and all he has to write is hateful, demeaning things about the team.

As for Calbot, I really think that she just goes to all the NFL online sites and just repeats whatever the majority of those sites say. She is just terriible.

I'm a journalism student at Cleveland State University, and that's not what you would call the proper way of journalism for both these so-called journalists.

His contract is up at the end of this upcoming season, so Mangini will try to get as many picks as he can to rebuild this team to his liking. Letting a talent like Braylon go to free agency without getting anything in return is not an option here.

Picking Crabtree would make more of an impact than Maclin would. Crabtree has pure WR talent. Maclin still needs some polish when it comes to running routes, blocking on run plays, and he would have to bulk up to like 205-210 lbs to be a true #1 WR.

If the Browns cannot get Crabtree, then they should try to trade down, and I would try to pick Darius Heyward-Bey in the middle of the 1st round. Heyward-Bey is the same size as Crabtree, but twice as fast. Yes he needs some polish too, but picking a WR in the middle of the round is better than picking a WR at the top of the round who needs polish.

Here's a shot in the dark....Jeremiah Johnson RB from Oregon. He is projected somewhere in rounds 3-5, and he is the smaller explosive back that would perfectly complement Gore.
