Here are the facts: My apologies for the location of the carrier, it was returning from duty in the middle East: "Mission Accomplished" refers to a banner titled "Mission Accomplished" that was displayed on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln during a televised address by United States President George W. Bush on May 1, 2003 and the controversy that followed.
Bush stated at the time that this was the end to major combat operations in Iraq. While this statement did coincide with an end to the conventional phase[clarification needed] of the war, Bush's assertion???and the sign itself???became controversial after guerrilla warfare in Iraq increased during the Iraqi insurgency. The vast majority of casualties, both military and civilian, have occurred since the speech.[1]

Please note "The vast majority of casualties, both military and civilian, have occurred since the speech. You're a sox fan, nuff said.

The Jets have been to the AFC championship game the last two years. They got there with some pretty good players, but mostly because of the coach's mouth and coaching. You're screen name "BushIsRight" tells me all I need to know about you. Do you remember him standing on the deck of a carrier in the middle east declaring victory in Iraq? I understand if you forgot it was about 9 years ago. Thank you Rex for bringing excitement back to the green and white. Winning super bowls is the goal, but everyone who knows football know how hard it is to get there. They laughed and mocked "The Boss" too in the early days, then came the dynasty. The Jets need Rex more than Manning or Sanchez, I just hope Woody gets it and all jet fans will be celebrating sooner than you think.

yankees would need more than nova and sabathia to win the world series!!

Is anyone paying attention. The world series is not yet the subject. All I see is Go Rays! Go Sox! The Yankees are going to win the division, get over it. Who wins the wild card, who cares. Once the post season begins all bets are off. When you get to the world series, then you can discuss whether or not you have the talent to win it. For all you Yankee haters I must remind you of 1996, Yanks against Braves, Braves starters, Smoltz, Glavine, Maddux and Avery. Yanks starters, Petite, Key, Rogers and Gooden. Who won? That's why they play the games.

Quite frankly I can't stand either of them, and I certainly cannot believe that anyone could seriously use their name in the same sentence as Muhammad Ali, that said, they will meet in the ring one day because they both are smart enough to know the fortune of money they will make, that fight will resolve the issue of who the better fighter is, but not the issue of who has the better character. No matter, neither one of them will ever reach the level of fighting prowess, character and dignity that defines the greatest boxer ever, Muhammad Ali.

Just look at the stats. Four years, each year a major step forward, for those of you who don't remember, Sandy Koufax had a hard time finding home plate his first few years, once he found it, he became Sandy koufax. Not yet ready to place Kershaw in Koufax's league, but if he stays healthy and continues to improve the way he has, you certainly have to consider the possibility.

Yankee pitching staff 1996 The top 4 starters for the 1996 Yankees were:

1) Andy Pettitte - 34 starts
2) Jimmy Key - 30
3) Kenny Rogers - 30
4) Dwight Gooden - 29

Spot starters were David Cone (11 starts), Ramiro Mendoza (11), Scott Kamieniecki (5), Dave Weathers (4), Brian Boehringer (3), Mark Hutton (2), Wally Whitehurst (2), and Ricky Bones (1).

2009 C.C. Sabathia and A.J. Burnett and re-signing Andy Pettite. Let's take a look into the Yankees 2009 rotation, which also includes Chien Ming Wang and Joba Chamberlain. Phil Hughes was also in the mix.

Won the world series both years, Yanks did the right thing, this team can win it all, why trade away the future.
