I coached 2 Russian teenagers last year in high school that were brought over here 2 years ago through adoption by an american family and they are so fluent in english now that if you had never met them, you'd think they were American. No accent whatsoever. Point is, Tevez has no excuse.
His "trial" at Arsenal is not because Arsenal are interested, it has something to do with a partnership with his Vietnamese club.
but seriously, **** like this has got to stop. if it's just club vs club banter, then fine, but when the racist taunts come out, that **** is ridiculous.
Sure, it's not glamorous to sign these Italians, etc., but as long as no rules were broken, I am glad we signed them. They are obviously good players. However, if it comes back that we broke rules, we deserve the punishment. Simple as that.
This isn't the first time Chelsea have been involved in something like this. Remember the Mikel situation and how weird that was? Chelsea were obviously in the wrong seeing as how they had to pay United a huge fee. http://nm.onlinenigeria.com/articlefiles/5187-mikel_johnobi_shirt.jpg
The exact same thing happened to Roma with their recruitment/signing of Mexes from Auxerre. Roma were banned from signing anyone for 2 signing periods (reduced to one, which I think Chelsea will eventually receive as well). Mexes signed with Roma despite Auxerre approving his transfer (he breached his contract with Auxerre). Mexes was also banned for 6 weeks.
I believe United won't face a ban for the same thing Chelsea or Roma did. The Pogba kid did not breach his contract for all we know.
Even Spalletti himself says:
"The law still allows them to do that but UEFA president Michel Platini is already in talks with the Italian FA to look at ways to eliminate this."
The Empoli guy says it as well. Is it morally wrong for United to bring over the young Italians? Yes, realistically speaking, BUT, as of now, United aren't using illegal tactics to do so.
I think Madrid will hang on to him, which will enable Madrid to put him and Ronaldo out wide (if they choose to play ronaldo there).
Valencia has all but cemented his place in our lineup, yet you don't even mention him. Get a clue.
