.262 Average...32 HR...108 RBI...2 SB...$18M salary...1 error in LF for Soriano....Matt Holliday stats for 2012....295 Average....27 HR....102 RBI...4 SB...3 errors in LF...$17M salary...
No would the Cards eat 80% of Holliday's salary to move him? Probably not...Why should the Cubs?
Yes, I'm a Cub fan, but aren't the above stats fairly similar (except BA)? Soriano had a solid season compared to a "good" player in his own division...why should they be treated differently?
About the Cubs...I actually agree with Tom Kelly...you have to have save opportunities to need a closer...in the midst of a 12 game losing streak I think its the offense that needs to be questioned
Do I love Forte and what he has brought to the Bears the last 5 or so seasons? Hells yes...but with that being said this is definitely a passing league and tying up big $ in a RB just doesn't make sense anymore. The Patriots have done just fine without a marquee RB, so have the Steelers, G-Men, Saints and Colts...oh by the way, those 5 teams make up your last 9 Super Bowl winners
So Torres takes a guy's head out and gets 25 games...deservedly...and Brown deserves to be out forever??? What a homer comment...get over it....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Michael Bush, Forte's new backup, had 977 rushing yards last season...just about 20 shy of Forte for the year...the last 2 years Forte has 13 total TD's and Bush has 18, mainly as a backup...in a scoring league doesn't scoring the football mean something? Bush has more scores, and is making backup money...why should the Bears pay Forte AP money when he has less production than a career backup? This coming from a Bears fan...just curious...
His production as a kick/punt returned dropped dramatically when they Bears tried to get him to be a WR...2006/07 before he became a full-time WR he had 11 returns for TDs...in 08-10 when he started 33 games at WR he had 3 return TDs and 10 receiving TDs...5.5 TDs/yr on average as a pure returner and 4.3 TDs/yr on average as a receiver/returner...clearly his value is much greater as a returner
I've seen DocMadLab's posts before...some people have way too much pent up anger...dude probably needs to get laid...once again, a little difficult from mom's basement...
I will be happy to banter back and forth on our opinions on certain matters...when I get lectured that I shouldn't banter is when I say you and your 39,442 comments need to get out of mom's basement a little more often
It was reported Dwight said he would not play for SVG again, SVG confirmed it was said and Dwight didn't deny it when asked outright about it...use a little common sense...and if you didn't know Dwight signed an agreement saying he wouldn't opt out of his contract before next year BEFORE he said he wouldn't play for SVG again...which of course means he wants SVG fired...does that crap make sense now??
No would the Cards eat 80% of Holliday's salary to move him? Probably not...Why should the Cubs?

So ****-Wade...you didn't get what you wanted? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
