I was through with Favre in 2005. I rooted for him many years before, since 1994. My college buddies kept a supply of masking tap and extra Favre posters...depending on the week, it would either be ripped to shreds, or taped together back up on the wall. After awhile, you kind of become sick of all the heart attack endings. I find it amusing that fans accuse Pack fans of wanting Favre back...clearly they never have lived a day in Wisconsin, because there were many who were sick of the drama. Not to mention that many of these fans (ahem, Minny) would never know what it's like rooting for the same quarterback for more than two years. It amuses me to no end that Pack fans get lectured by fans who put one player above the team, or those who thinks they really understand squat about having a player in the league who morphed from a good kid overcoming diversity to a grown man who forgot the only reason he was where he was today was because Wolf took a chance on a guy know one else wanted. So I'm over Favre in the same way I'm over last year's season. Its great to be a fan of a guy who won a SB in the past, but the game still needs to be played tomorrow. Time to move on.
I hear Trojan is begging Favre to star in one of their condom commercials. The jingle will go something like this "Buy Trojan condoms... because like me, your passes will always be intercepted before it gets to the intended receiver."
Accept that the world is changing. Personally, I believe America was headed into a trainwreck since the 80's when everyone was trying to keep up with the Joneses. Living on borrowed credit. The world has survived all these years, the thing about humans is that they adapt, invent, and make things better.
Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
Those nights partying with the ladies from the Hills really paid off for you? Maybe you just need to strip for Playgirl and be some starlet's baby daddy.
"Is Favre 22nd-guessing Himself?"
Or the wrong number entirely "Is Favre 69ing Himself?"
