Phillips is not the answer, I agree there also. But, in my opinion, I doubt any of the aforementioned coaches could, or would, work for Jerry Jones. If he fires Wade this year, I would suspect JJ will look in the college ranks for a HC, or he might even try his hand at it. Wouldn't that be a boat load of fun????
JJ is still looking for those "500 coaches who could coach the Dallas Cowboys".....495 left to go.
I will say this...........the Redskins do come to play, even if they lose, especially with us, the Giants, or Philly. Say what you will about their record, but the only ones who have done anything lately is the Giants, and they were very lucky at that. The main problem we and the 'Skins have, is ownership. ........................................That's beyond any fans control.......................................................
Joe Gibbs is one of the best football coaches that ever was. This last time for Gibbs it was evident the game had changed, but that happened with Landry, Shula and the rest of the old time great coaches.
Your comment is a non comment.
Some of the Eagles fans know who I am, and I come to talk football, not bash. I've never been to Philly before, although, while on active duty, I could have been stationed there, but went to Pensacola instead. Since Philly is a city that was found before the Revolutionary War, I will respect it. It is part of OUR (meaning the whole United States) history, not just PA's.
It's good to have a rivalry and competition between two teams like we do, but not ALL fans of either team do as you suggest. Now, I will say this once again.........if my Cowboys don't make the playoffs, then I would like to see the Eagles win the SB, if they make it that far, for the simple fact that your team needs a ring, so that all in the division can lay claim to that, giving the NFC East another reason to claim it's the best.
Not all of us are Cowbitches..........lol..........
The thing is, I'd much rather take my chances on Romo becoming a championship QB, than what we had before him and since Aikman. He has the potential and gives us the best chance to win. Whether that will eventually translate into playoff wins, remains to be seen, but I like our chances.
Maybe he's not a championship QB, but he's a helluva lot better than what Jones has brought in since Aikman retired. Besides, you expect an undrafted free agent from a small Illinois college to become a championship QB overnight? Aikman couldn't even do that, nor Joe Montana, Steve Young, or numerous others. Dan Marino never won a SB......does he count?
Romo has at least got the team to winning if nothing else, and he's still young. Carter and the rest of those so called QB's were wastes of times.

You also assume a lot as well. Not all fans are "delusional". How can I, for instance, do anything to make Jerry Jones do what needs to be done? I cannot, nor can any other fan. Now, I will agree with you about ...." Jimmy Johnson won 3 rings and Jerruh with his ego ended that."...and just about anything you want to say about Jerry Jones. We fans did NOT elect him as our owner, and I will admit some fans can be stupid. Jerry Jones does have the gift of gab, and is persuasive. His money can do some talking as well, but that's out of the fans control. So, if you want to knock Jerry Jones, feel free to do so. If, per chance, you see a Cowboy fan who is stupid, feel free to do that as well, if it makes you feel better, but I refuse to knock your team or their fans. I'm sure the Steelers have their share of idiots as well, much like any other team. But, I won't call any of them out, and tell them they are "delusional".
Have a nice day.
Jerry Jones may have had good intentions when he got Owens, but I would bet he didn't consult Parcells about it. He just did it, and I believe that was the main reason Parcells "retired".
As far as the statement "Notice he didn't get a job immediately?" from poster #414, it could be that since the Broncos still owed Shanahan 7 million, he could lay off of work for awhile, and wait for a job of his choosing. Whether that would be the Cowboys HCing job or not, I don't know. Possibility.
Note your words,"........Last SB win"....at least we have some SB wins...........some teams have less or none. As for me, I'd much rather have some, than none at all.
And your team is?
