Posted Friday May 22, 2009, About: Rubio dissing Memphis & OKC?
While I would like to see Griffin in OKC the Clippers are not going to let that happen. Rubio should go to OKC where they have Durant and an billionaire owner who doesn't care about the bottom line. That owner would probably give Rubio the $7 million to buy out his contract. Get into the league in the West where he won't get beat up every night like in the East and fill out his body. After 3 years of his initial contract he gets to then have some input as to where he goes
Posted Monday December 01, 2008, About: Big 12 to rethink tie-breaking rules
I thought this link was about the Big 12 changing its tie-breaker. Go to the NFL system.

Three or More Clubs
(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format).
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.
7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9. Best net points in common games.
10. Best net points in all games.
11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
12. Coin toss

The SEC and ACC tie-breakers are no better than the current Big 12 one.
Posted Friday January 18, 2008, About: Why owners extended Selig
What a joke - Selig has been the worst commish of any sport ever and that includes hockey that lost an entire season. I heard Selig say the other day that he and Fehr were partly responsible for this mess. He should be removed immediately - not given an extension. If baseball had a decent commish - imagine the $$$ that the owners could earn. Yeah baseball has made money during his tenure but they would have made more with no commish at all. This guy is a windbag with no spine and probably puts his underwear on backwards. Reminds me of Rainman without any special abilities.
Posted Monday December 24, 2007, About: Texas coordinator on thin ice
I can't see where 95% of the schools want Mack Brown on their sideline. I don't recall seeing anyone trying to hire him away from UT. Mack is a great recruiter but doesn't have near enough to show for it. That is probably why no one has tried to get him from UT. Les Miles and Bob Stoops are 2 of his contemporaries that have gotten a lot more interest from other schools. Mack underachieves with his talent. I see a time in the near future where OU fans chant - keep Mack like they used to do with Fred Aykers not that many years ago.

What is great for us A & M fans is that Brown is hired for years and years at shorthorn U. No matter who we get as coach he should be able to frequently cause trouble for Brown.
Posted Thursday December 13, 2007, About: Cowboys owner helped Petrino exit
No matter what Jerry Jones touches it smells and is greasy. In the end Atlanta was done a favor - but this is not the way it should have gone down. I am sure glad I am not a fan of either the Falcons or Arkansas. Of course - most everyone already hates Dallas anyway.
Posted Thursday December 06, 2007, About: Michigan still on Miles' mind?
The mythical Natl Champ game this year creates quite a quandry. You know that OSU doesn't deserve to be in the game because of a weak non conference schedule and a loss to Illinois and a really bad year for the Big 10/11. Hawaii's strength of schedule is probably close to OSU's. You certainly don't want to cheer for LSU because they lost very late to Arkansas and they are playing in there own backyard. You gotta hope for a dull low scoring game with many turnovers and that someone like USC or Oklahoma blows out the other team in their game. Then at least there might be a split mythical Natl Champ.
