Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: Two unknown teams bidding on Sabathia
I know its a long shot....but I am willing to bet Cleveland is bidding to make him return
Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: Mets initiate closer talks
My general thoughts are that New york will take Rodriguez, probably Cleveland will get Fuentes or Hoffman....probably Hoffman......and Fuentes will end up within the American League too
Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: Lewis sits Ocho Cinco
I foresee a trade and or major signing in the off season by a team that desperately needs another true receiver.....Washington, Baltimore, Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia
Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: Browns QB Anderson heard jeers after injury
Boo Hoo....you make how many million a year to accomplish nothing again.....Suck It Up, Shut Up......go under the knife and get your **** back on the field
Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: What is Sabathia waiting for?
Sabathia is waiting on a lot truly. Lots of facts need to be addressed here. 1) His pitching record in New York is terrible. 2) He is from Northern California. 3) He listens to his wife. 4) He is a reasonable hitter for a Pitching Staff Ace. 5) Money does speak to him, but he is a reasonable man. 6) He prefers the West Coast. 7) BIG ONE - Upon being traded to Milwaukee from Cleveland his wife and him took out an add in the local Cleveland paper 'Plain Dealer' thanking fans and staff for all the memories, support....and vowed that he would like to return.
Posted Monday December 08, 2008, About: Indians interested in Furcal
Furcal would be a welcomed addition, and add another batter of pop ability in the lineup, not to mention he has speed and a great glove to boot. I agree Cabrera needs to shift over, Peralta would make a better First basemen or DH, Hafner needs to stop being coddled
Posted Sunday March 02, 2008, About: Browns beat Bengals to Rogers
I must say I am impressed with the aggressive nature of the Browns. In 1 month they have acquired Jamal Lewis, Derek Andersen, Corey Williams, Shaun Rogers, and now Dante Stallworth. This team has obviously caught on the fever and has designed a team around their offense. Last year their offense were #10 in the NFL, look for a top five this next year. Defense is their weak point from last year, but thus far....they are working hard on improving it. If they improve their front 7 and protect against the run, the Browns will be seeing playoff images early on in the season.
Posted Friday February 22, 2008, About: Browns to re-sign Anderson
I would look for the Browns to resign him
Posted Friday February 22, 2008, About: Tribe not trading Sabathia
CC should be fine, he is just trying to see what the Indians will give him, and that will directly be influenced by how CC does and how far the Indians go. If he takes them to the World Series expect a big payout from the front office, if he gets hurt then expect them to keep the deal that was already on the table.
Posted Friday February 01, 2008, About: Why Indians must trade Sabathia
the Indians are smart enough not to make any major moves in order to loosen their pocket books in ordr to sign Sabathia. He is still young, hasn't gotten nearly the same numbers as Santana, and has loyalty to the team that he has been with almost a decade now. The Indians have already offered him a contract in the 3-4 year range for a good payout, but they know that a lefthander of that size will not last forever, and will therefore not warrant a big pay day. Watch the Indians closely Ladies and Gentlemen, because now you have only the Indians and Tigers with good teams in the AL Central. Something tells me all these big moves by Detroit might land them in the same park as the NY Yankees. No Playoffs, Big Payroll, and pissed off fans
Posted Tuesday January 29, 2008, About: Trade demands handcuff Pirates
Rumor has it Huntington is in deals with Cleveland his old job to deal what talent Pittsburgh has to fill the small gaps in the Indians offense. Look for Cleveland to be a front runner again, this year
Posted Tuesday January 29, 2008, About: Browns interested in Tulane RB
I would sign Lewis to a one year deal, and trade up to get Forte. But hey they signed Crennel, hopefully Andersen and Lewis soon too
Posted Monday January 21, 2008, About: Mets' Santana offer intrigues Twins
If anyone is serious about acquiring Santana I believe the NY Mets are it, I won't be surprised to see them pull off this deal
Posted Tuesday January 15, 2008, About: Cowboys coach: 'Best team lost game'
2 words.....Bull S**T....the Giants kicked the Cowboy's butt, and they now have a date with the Packers this weekend. Stop your sniveling and cry baby crap, and move on to next season
Posted Tuesday January 15, 2008, About: Cardinals want Glaus for '09
Awesome trade, equal on both sides.....Both teams benefit
Posted Monday January 14, 2008, About: Mariners chasing O's Bedard
Rumor has it Cleveland is in the mix about acquiring Bedard as well, however I think worrying about signing Sabathia is a more pressing issue....who cares....the O's suck!...what do they have to lose
Posted Monday January 07, 2008, About: Latest on Sabathia contract talks
CC is the main concern for the Tribe in 2008. If they hope to contend again they must retain him. I agree with the above, having a Cy Young Award winning dominant Left Hander will require a lot of money and a long term contract. I also agree that he is getting out of shape, maybe not another David Wells in the making, but how about another ex-Indian..Bartolo Colon. Let's see how much loyalty and honor this guy has to a team that gave him everything.
Posted Wednesday January 02, 2008, About: Two teams on Clement's list
Sounds like a reasonable pickup for Cleveland
Posted Sunday December 30, 2007, About: NFL fines umpire for takedown
Get this man a jersey and pads, that was a better take down than most I have seen this year. I'm thinking San Francisco, Atlanta, Carolina or maybe even Houston should scout him! HA!
Posted Saturday December 29, 2007, About: Browns intend to re-sign Lewis
Looks like a Great Idea to me. All though Lewis is notorious for sitting on contracts, he has formed the Browns into a signifcant Red Zone threat. I hope they get the chance to sign Lewis and Andersen
Posted Saturday December 29, 2007, About: Astros lock up new reliever
the Astros still need a lot of work, but this is a step in the right direction. I am all in favor of demeaning the Braves pitching staff
