I cant speak for all Phillie fans, but I tend to agree with you. I've had several friends living at college in the Philly area during the last 5 years or so, and they tell me all the time how these guys are big time front-runners and how arrogant they are. They never heard a word about the Phils until they became revelant the last couple years, and the fans act as if they're diehard lifetime fans. There were even Eagle chants going 'round mid-summer at Citizens Bank Park a few years ago! So it's hard to take some of these Phillie "fans" seriously, especially when they act like they're superior to everyone.

Like I said before, cant speak for ALL :)

He's "crying" because he got pissed over a teammate's mistake?? I don't think so....it's the one time in his career that I can recall him reacting that way after a play.

Wanna talk about crying tho, remember T.O. after the Divisional Playoff game against the Giants??? Now thats PATHETIC!

Eli CHOKES under pressure?? Haha wow you lost your credibility with that statement. He's done it several times other than the Super Bowl, I don't know where you got this logic from. Maybe you should lay off the ganja..
Posted Monday October 19, 2009, About: Eli Manning loses cool in loss
Are you people out of your mind? It's about time Eli showed some fire out there. He was pointing out a missed block that if made, could have avoided making a rushed throw and therefore an INT. Eli's been a class act since coming to NY, and he's the leader of this team. He didn't call Bradshaw out in the media, it was heat of the moment immediately after the play that was a critical point in the game (as far as the Giants in attempting a comeback). Many QB's get in their teammates faces from time to time, its unfair to criticize Eli for this.

Also a note I find fascinating.....Each week the Giants have suffered some injuries to key guys

Week 1 vs Redskins: Danny Ware & Hakeem Nicks
Week 2 vs Cowboys: Justin Tuck & Kenny Philips
Week 3 vs Bucs: Kareem McKenzie & Ahmad Bradshaw
Week 4 vs. Chiefs: Eli Manning & Michael Boley

Wow, I did not know that. Unfathomable, really. This year has been a disaster for the Giants as far as injuries. It's really like a kick in the nuts considering this team has Super Bowl aspirations. It's still early so hopefully these guys can heal, but we're only 4 games through and the Giants are probably one injury away from calling out their waterboy to take some reps with the first team. As the season progresses, their just gonna build up more and more. I hope they can tough it out and somehow make it through a rough schedule after this week.

The Giants need to be smart and rest Eli. Putting him out there against the Raiders isn't going to gain them anything. They can win with Carr, just establish the running game and have him manage the game. Heck, Carr is probably twice as good as Jamarcus Russell. Plus D-Mac is out, so the Raiders are even less dangerous than they normally are *cough* sarcasm *cough*. I was surprised they put Tuck out there against the Bucs, and with Eli's track record of playing with injuries (Week 2 against GB with the shoulder), I expect the Giants to put him out there. Although I really hope they hold him back this week.
Posted Thursday September 24, 2009, About: Tuck hates the Cowboys even more
It's very disappointing especially so early in the season. Hopefully Tuck can still play effectively through this injury, he's probably the best defensive player on the team. Despite the secondary playing rather well so far, Ross needs to get healthy to give that unit some depth again. I'm not as concerned with the offensive injuries, its the defense I'm worried about now. They've definately taken some significant hits already, and more will naturally pile up as the season goes on. The key is if they can still get pressure on the QB when all is said and done.
Posted Thursday September 24, 2009, About: Tuck hates the Cowboys even more
I have no problem giving other teams their fair credit, even if it is the Cowboys. They played a good game, they played the Giants tough. But to just discredit everything the Giants did right in favor of dumb luck is just ignorant....
Posted Thursday September 24, 2009, About: Tuck hates the Cowboys even more
And Cowboys fans are calling Tuck a crybaby??? Take a look in the mirror.

You got beat, DEAL WITH IT. It wasn't luck. The Giants outplayed the Cowboys EXCEPT in rushing yards/rush defense. People fail to acknowledge that if the Giants are putting up TD's instead of FG's this game isn't even close. The Giants moved the ball up and down the field all game, the failure to take advantage of the red zone opportunities kept the game tight. Stop making excuses, you sound like an ass. Swallow your pride and just acknowledge the Giants were the better team that game.

LeBron would have to be dumb to come to the NJ/Brooklyn Nets, and this coming from a Nets fan....
Posted Thursday September 24, 2009, About: Tuck hates the Cowboys even more
Some of you Cowboy fans are pathetic. Reporters asked Tuck about the incident, how else should he respond? It was a dirty play by a dirty player that resulted in an injury. No, it wasn't a big injury but Tuck does have a partially torn labrem as a result. So, I do not blame Tuck one bit for voicing his take on Flozell's cheap shot. That idiot not only did it to him, but also did it to Osi later in the game. Give me a break. I bet you Dallas fans who call Tuck a cry baby wouldn't have that attitude if this happened to lets say, Demarcus Ware.....

There's no place in the game for it no matter who does it. I'd feel the same way even if the Giants did it....
Posted Thursday September 03, 2009, About: What Broncos want for Marshall
I'm not a Jets fan, but I really like Leon and think he deserves more than what he's been getting. He obviously brings alot to the offense and he's been stand up about his contract. At least the Jets will take care of his situation first.
Posted Thursday September 03, 2009, About: Tyree wants Super Bowl helmet back
I don't blame him for wanting it back. It was one of the most dramatic and historic plays in NFL history. Let the guy keep it so he can display it proudly, it's probably his first and last "G" moment in his career.
Posted Thursday September 03, 2009, About: What Broncos want for Marshall
The Jets should be focusing on restructuring Leon Washington's deal first and foremost before they try to trade for Marshall. Because trading for Marshall comes along with re-doing his deal to his liking, and if the Jets shove Leon's situation to the side that could create a bad situation in the locker room.

Marshall would be perhaps the final piece for the Jets to contend for a championship, but Denver's asking price is way too high in Harris AND a pick. For a team in a desperate situation, they shouldn't have all the bargaining power.
Posted Wednesday September 02, 2009, About: Umenyiora walks out on new Giants coordinator
ONE year how?? Since 2004 he's had seasons of 2004 - 7 sacks, 2005 - 14.5 sacks, 2006 - 6 sacks, and 2007 - 13 sacks. And in the 2006 season he played only 11 games. He's also 3rd or 4th in the league in sacks over that span as well. The guy is one of the game's most dominant pass rushers, he is not a one year wonder. He's proven and way past the point in his career to be referred to as that.
Posted Tuesday September 01, 2009, About: Umenyiora walks out on new Giants coordinator
I think they're definately going to put an emphasis on throwing deep more this year than last year so defenses have to prepare for the long ball. That obviously would help out the running game so the opposition doesn't throw the extra man in the box as you mentioned. But like I said, I believe Smith makes that catch majority of the time. If they can create a play or two like that during games I think that will keep the defenses honest.

Injuries have plagued the defense thus far so we haven't seen the havoc they can wreak just yet. Hopefully the Giants are just being cautious with some of these guys and if it were not the preseason they would be playing. That pass rush is just too damn nasty to not produce results.
Posted Tuesday September 01, 2009, About: Umenyiora walks out on new Giants coordinator
I always said back to last season I thought the loss of Ward would be underrated. Bradshaw will do fine, but punishing defenses with 3 quality backs all game long contributed to their great regular season. Now after the loss of the rookie Brown who was competing with Bradshaw for the #2 spot, we have to rely on a relatively unknown back in Ware. He's looked pretty good, but he's unproven.

I agree the Giants have looked mediocre both sides of the ball, but at least its only the preseason. The WR's have dropped alot of balls but better now than in the season. I think their just working out the kinks and hopefully by the season's start they'll fulfill their roles nicely. Smith probably catches that deep ball majority of the time, Nicks looked better against the Jets, Hixon and Barden should be contributors as well.

Last I checked, Kidd wanted to play for a contender. Have the Knicks magically transformed overnight??
Posted Thursday June 04, 2009, About: Shaq hopes Kobe wins title
Agreed. Shaq is still bitter over Dwight proclaiming himself as "Superman", when Shaq obviously believes he is THE Superman himself. Hard to argue against that tho...

Don't know about a Super Bowl in 3 years but if I'm a Jets fan, I like what I've seen thus far from Rex
Posted Thursday June 04, 2009, About: Owner: Garnett guarantees '10 & '11 titles
I hate Boston but the Celtics are still an elite team. If I'm not mistaken, they were one of the top teams in the league before KG got hurt and by the time next season starts he'll be fully healthy. I wouldn't go as far to GUARANTEE titles in 2010 & 2011 but they certainly will contend for another title in at least one year, if not both.
