Being a die hard Angels fan I still know in my heart that Texiera will not be with the Angels next season. I still feel owner Moreno won't pay any player $20 million plus a year for 7-10 years. Look at what was done this past week...they tabled contract talks for an extension with Vlad. He makes $16 million this year.....Moreno says he wants to put a winner on the field but he wants to do it as cheaply as possible....with young players who can't get it done.

Just another reason why baseball is losing the interest of Americans year after year. The old boys group of owners are scared out of their minds thinking that an owner like Cuban would have the reigns of one of the most historic clubs in baseball history. Cuban would make baseball interesting again. He would also give the Yankees a run for their money since Cuban has tons of money as the yanks do....and the gods of baseball would find that immoral. Sorry Cubs fans....you were that close to having solid ownership.

Lose to Oregon St., then stomp all over teams like Washington who is totally pathetic, Washington St. who sucks big time, have a close game against Arizona where they could have easily lost and with cupcake games upcoming with a lousy UCLA and a weak Notre Dame Carroll needs to realize that from top to bottom the Big 12 and SEC are superior conferences over the Pac 10. The Cowboys may not have won a playoff game in the last 12 years or so but we do have 5 of those things called uhhhhh....wait a minute, oh yeah Lombardi Trophies.....meaning we have won 5...count them...5 Super Bowls. Now I'm trying to think here, what has any team in any sport won in Philadelphia in the last 25 years?????????..........what?, I can't hear you.....let me help you out....NOTHING!!!!!

I'm positive the Dodgers will not resign Manny. Giving a guy who is closer to 40 than 30 at least $20 million a year for at least 4 years is insane. If McCourt is a smart business man then he knows better than to make such an unwise investment. Remember this is a contract year for Manny...of course he's going to be all nice and sweet to the fans and media and of course he will play hard and run hard. Then when he gets his riches there will be odds taken as to when he has his first meltdown.

Hey arejaydub.....Anderson needs to be let go...Juan Rivera is a better value and hitter for this team. Being an Angels fan since the 70's I know exactly what will happen this off season...world series title or not.....Teixeira will not be an Angel...he wants to play back on the east coast where all his family and friends are....that means the Yankees or Orioles....who do you think he'll be with then?.....they won't sign K-Rod at $15 million for a reliever....they have the kid Arredondo to get the shot at it.....Garland is iffy....if they can sign Teixeira...which they won't they will go after Sabathia who lives on the west coast and would love being back home.
I predict the Angels are going to be screwed next season.....they won't have any power at first of third again and will rely on pitching and defense....which doesn't get you a world series title.
Moreno may be a good owner but he won't spend large amounts of money for players.....see what happens after next season with Vlad.....he's a bargain next season at $15 million but if doesn't rebound from a somewhat poor 2008 season he'll be gone also.

Adding Boldin to the Cowboys would be a great move. I'd love to see it but not sure if it will happen. They need another receiver with Owens and Crayton and Sam Hurd aren't the best of second receivers. AZ will do one of two things with Boldin....trade him or pay him....it's that simple. No team will keep someone who keeps opening his mouth all season long disrupting things. AZ has a history of being cheap with Bidwell as owner anyway.

Gee what a shocker....Kent opening his mouth spewing garbage again. Vic Scully is a baseball legend not only here in Los Angeles but in all of baseball and Kent deems it right to be upset at him because he speaks the truth? No wonder Kent is possibly the second most hated player in baseball behind Bonds. Kent has nobody but Manny to thank for his increased average. I have never seen and heard a more bitter man in baseball than Jeff Kent other than Bob Feller. Then again he's 90. How do Kent's wife and kids stand to be around this man?

Scioscia uses K-Rod way too often. 7-3 in the ninth and he brings him in? Does Scioscia realize that with every save he helps Rodriguez get he makes it more and more a realization that he won't be back with the team next season. With every save towards the record ( which nobody cares about anyway ) it ups his contract demands by about another $25,000-50,000. Being an Angels fan I say let him walk after the season...thanks for the help in 2002 and since then but no closer is worth $20,000,000. Besides you take that money you save and add it to a deal to keep Teixeira. That's who they really need to keep for the future along with Vlad.

Hey 50yearfan....have you missed the playoffs over the last few years?...Boston fears the Angels most?....they've beaten them like nine games in a row in the playoffs. It's the Yankees that hate seeing the Angels not Boston.....the Red Sox own the Angels in the post season.

Manny won't end up with the Angels. The Angels have an option on Guerrero for next season and will pick that up. Also owner Arte Moreno has always said there will not be another player on the team that makes more than Guerrero and since he will make around $16-17 million that rules Manny out at once. People have to realize a couple things about the Angels and why they won't win a World Series again for a while...if at all.....#1 they won't trade any of their "top" prospects....no matter how great a player they could get in return #2 they play National League ball in the American League and that doesn't beat the high powered high scoring American League in the playoffs.

I'll take it.....Quinlan isn't anything special and Woods isn't going to play at all with the Angels so maybe a change will give him playing time....but remember these are the Angels and GM Reagins is an exact copy of former GM Bill Stoneman....who incidentally is still with the team as an adviser.....so I doubt there is anything to this....as an Angels fan I would welcome this but the track record says it all.

It's just par for the course for us Angels fans...go the first half of the year strong...pulling out close games and having the organization tell fans that they are happy with the way the team is going and that pitching and defense wins you World Series....one problem though...it hasn't for the Angels. They won't trade anyone that has any value...or many times they they over value...for anyone that can drive in runs. They will once again win the division then come across another playoff team with good pitching and defense....plus offense and then bow out. But of course management will tell everyone what a fine season it has been.
