So according to fan nation......Urbam Meyer, Bob Stoops, Brian Billick and Kelly are all "the guy" on the top of Notre Dame's list. I'm not 100 percent convinced Weis is even gone for sure. But the speculation here over a team that doesn't have a national title in 20 years is a bit much...

I would agree with you, but. Every other week there is some "unnamed source" at ND saying they are getting some big name coach. And every week, that big name coach is saying no. So these are coaches that they haven't even spoken to and ND claims it's in the bag. Only time I believe a coach saying he's not leaving is when it involves Notre Dame.

Notre Dame hasn't had a championship team in 2 decades. They've been down for several years now. To believe for a second that a coach with the recruiting available to them (like Stoops and Meyer), would jump ship for a washed up program with recruiting limitations like Notre Dame, is a laughable. Not happening. Perhaps they can get Nick Saban. He likes jumping ship regularly.

Just last week I read Urban Meyer was the "favorite" to get the Notre Dame job and how he was reaaaaally interested. Now it's Stoops. FN needs to stop bs'ing stories. Stoops has said he's not leaving Oklahoma to go to Notre Dame. Meyer said he's not leaving Florida. They aren't going to Notre Dame. Get over it and find a real story.

So your running a team and your going to hand a 50-100 mil contract to an unproven rookie qb coming off a shoulder injury? Manning had the same injury? That's nice. Was it exactly the same? Your so certain that Bradford will return to have a 100 percent healthy shoulder for the length of that long, expensive contract? If so, call Al Davis. Heard he's looking for a new fool to work with him as an assistant GM. In the NFL, money rules EVERYTHING. And they aren't dishing 1st or 2nd round money to a qb with any kind of recent major shoulder injury. To much financial risk.

Bradford goes before McCoy and Tebow? In case you've missed it, Tebow and McCoy both are likely to be in the final 3 for the Heisman. Bradford has been injured for the majority of the year. Bradford will no doubt get drafted, but if you seriously think a qb that is coming off a serious injury will go in the first round, you need to lay off the booze.

No offense to Clausen, but look at every qb to come out of Notre Dame since say 1980. Rick Mirer and Brady Quinn just to name a couple. Clausen is good, no doubt. But the Notre Dame qb lovefest hasn't given a solid NFL qb in more than 2 decades. Don't count on Clausen being drafted above the top 2 guys.

Hey I just do what Obama asked we all do. Judge him on whom he surrounds himself with. Such as Van Jones. You know, the self avowed communist. The 2 self called "devote muslims" he put on Homeland Security (Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim as Assistant Secretary and Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council). Then you add in the crowd he hangs around with (Nancy Pelosi anyone? Acorn perhaps?) and you talk about being unfair to him? I only judge him like he asked me to. And I don't like what I see.

(1) Meyer signed an extension this year, knowing Tebow and co would be gone. Signed it with the knowledge that his daughters would be gone off to college. 1 daughter is currently attending Georgia Tech (i.e. alot closer to Gainesville than South Bend).

(2) Weis has been on the verge of being fired for what, 2 years now? Had Meyer had an interest, I have little doubt he could've had the Notre Dame job this past off season if he wanted it. What did he do? Signed an extension with Florida.

(3) Tennessee will be better? Absolutely they should be. If Kiffin can focus on coaching as opposed to running his mouth. They got demolished against Ole Miss just yesterday. And in case you missed it, Tennessee isn't the only tough team in the conference. Lsu, Bama, Georgia.... There are several tough teams in the Sec. So it's not like Tennessee being "better" will scare off Meyer.
