This was no big deal. I laughed when I saw it on Sports Center! It was funny.
Posted Monday January 06, 2014, About: Lions job is one man's to lose
Dungy? He couldn't get Tampa Bay over the hump. Gruden took Dungy's team and won the SB with them. So then the defensive oriented Dungy lucks into the Colts job, with Manning as his QB. Even better, he had the same O-Coordinator and the same O-Line coach left over and they remained until manning was done in Indy. But what happened to Indy's defense? Nothing! They showed up one year, and won the SB, becasue of Bob Sanders being healthy. The Colts won the SB not because of Dungy, but in spite of him. He was routinely outcoached, especially in the playoffs!

Wow, less than 2 catches a game is worth $500,000??
Posted Saturday September 14, 2013, About: 49ers' Alex Boone: I'd probably punch Clay Matthews in face
All these comments are ridiculous! Matthews left his feet BEFORE even one of CKs feet touched out of bounds. And clotheslined him? Are you serious? It wasn't around the neck, he drug him down by his chest. Was it completely innocent? Of course not because Matthews could clearly see he was going out of bounds, but we wanted CK to know that he was going to get hit if he ran the ball. It was a good play that was worthy of a penalty and nothing more.
Posted Saturday September 14, 2013, About: Report: George Karl sued by former agent
I think it's more in the range of 3-5% and I'm sure payment is completed by the end of each contract. Not sure about the length or amount of Karl's last contract.
Posted Monday July 08, 2013, About: Haslam won't sell
So what, he has a huge company with a debt of $4 Billion. Did it say how much his income stream for Flying J is? Did the article say that he is behind in paying his creditors? No. I didn't read any of that. Business owners do this all the time, maybe not to the extent of an additional $2 Billion, but it happens all the time. When I start to hear about Flying J going under/bankrupt or being behind on payments to their creditors, then there is an issue. Until then, this story means nothing.
Posted Wednesday April 17, 2013, About: Tuck no longer cares whether Cruz shows
How low maintenance are you if you are already proving to be a distraction? Albeit a small one, but by teammates having to answer questions about you, a distraction none the less. Just get in camp and work out your deal from there. Holdouts normally get injured due to missing all the "camps".
Posted Friday April 12, 2013, About: Girardi blasts MLB schedule
Some people just can't comprehend what they read. Everyone is missing his key point of visiting a cold weather city ONCE. In this example, this is the only time that NYY is visiting Cleveland. So to schedule it in the beginning of the season, when there is a greater chance for a cancellation, it doesn't make sense. Because if it is cancelled, the NYY (or other visiting team) will have to schedule an entire trip on a day off just to play one game.

However, if it were against a divisional opponent, which they visit each other's stadium 3-4 times a year, they could easily make up a missed game via a double header.

Actually Mickey is the CEO, not the owner of Carnival.
Posted Wednesday April 03, 2013, About: Cuban open to drafting Griner
Why doesn't anybody bring up steroids with Griner? She looks like a dude and sounds like a dude. So if she actually isn't "equipped" like a dude, it has to be steroids. I'm just saying.

Posted Thursday March 07, 2013, About: Humphries booted from Nets' rotation
This has to be a personality conflict between Hump and Cerlisimo. I don't think its his production, or lack thereof. He is averaging about half of his stats from last year. But, he is also averaging about half of his playing time. In theory, if his time doubled his stats would double. Those stats would then equal the numbers he was putting up to get his latest contract.
Posted Monday December 31, 2012, About: O'Brien's buyout could double to $18.4M
Once the PSU President became involved, it was out of Joe Paterno's hands. Thus, out of the NCAA's hands. It was a criminal case, not an athletic case.

Posted Thursday July 12, 2012, About: Brees ready to skip camp
First of all, I am NOT a Chargers fan, especially Rivers. I never said that Brees wasn't a good quarterback. However, because the NFL is a business that is why the Chargers didn't sign him after he injured his shoulder. They weren't sure how his shoulder would respond. Heck even Brees didn't know, otherwise he would not have signed the 6 year/60 mil contract. He was thankful that someone gave him a contract and he jumped at it. He should have signed a 2 or 3 year contract if he was so confident. Now that he is 33, or however old he is, he shouldn't be paid based off of what he has done, but rather what they expect him to do in the future. He's arguing over 1.25 mil a year when his salary will be doubled. Really?

By the way river1075, his post wasn't that good with relation to what I originally said.
Posted Wednesday July 11, 2012, About: Brees ready to skip camp
He wasn't snubbed by the Chargers or Dolphins. He was coming off of a surgically repaired shoulder. Yes, the Saints took a chance on him when no one else would. He shouldn't have signed a 6 year deal back then. He id because he wasn't even sure what his shoulder would do, so he wanted whatever money he could get. HIS FAULT!! Did he overplay his contract (versus what others get paid)? Yes. Should the Saints noe overpay him? NO!
Posted Thursday May 31, 2012, About: Jones bluntly reminds Cowboys of ticking clocks
Exactly, if he was smart, he would hire Polian. He's smart and available.
Posted Saturday February 11, 2012, About: Bradshaw: Romo can't lead Cowboys to Super Bowl
Romo and the Cowboys beat the Eagles in January of 2010. The Cowboys problem is Jerry Jones! Until he hires another (Bill Parcells did crap) football guy, they will go nowhere.
