Man Citys probably trying to guess how Barca will attempt to screw them in this deal. Eto'o has one year left on his contract I believe. Man City would be smart to let Samuel play out that contract, and them sign him, thereby totally screwing the Catalans, which they totally deserve for all the "tapping up" of players they do via the Spanish press.

David Beckham has become a punchline, like his vapid wife. He's a joke as captain (see England) and really doesn't want to be in MLS. He should scurry back to Milan with the rats in his entourage.

lol . There sure is a lot of basis for this story. Leaf is a nutjob with a tissue paper heart ill-equipped to play in the NFL. The Chargers didn't help their case by trying to crucify ELi in the press, and AJ Smith is a hump. That probably had more to do with it. The Draft is a joke. Teams should get to recruit players, instead of getting high picks by sucking the season before. The best organizations can sell themselves to the best players. A court challenge to the legality of the draft would terrify the NFL.
