She's not even hot
Posted Thursday November 06, 2008, About: Tottenham, Man City want Chelsea defender
This is exactly the sort of thing fans are sick of hearing about Man City. At least their manager realizes he is going to need to sign second tier players and build a 4-6 placed side before they can sign everyone and their mom.
Posted Monday October 20, 2008, About: Why Packers are peeved at Favre
Sorry buddy but I'm not sure you have seen a single Packers game yet this entire season. The only people who still support Favre around here are those blindly loyal to him and by proxy Thompson haters. This report is probably true and frankly I'm not surprised. Favre is all I knew growing up and I still respect everything he has accomplished for the Packers however there is no question he is a prima donna and frankly I'd rather not have that sort of player on my team no matter who he is. Finally I think that Favre needs to realize that 95% of the Packer fanbase has moved on and that he ought to follow suit.

It's really about time Evridge seems like a nice guy who tries hard but unfortunately he just isn't good enough and it showed.
Posted Friday October 03, 2008, About: Tottenham denies manager move
Seems to me like Spurs are going about trying to unsettle Hughes and his position just like they did to bring in Ramos.
Posted Thursday October 02, 2008, About: Padres open to offers for Peavy
I imagine it will take a bounty similar to what Oakland got for Haren for Peavy. He is a stud and has a below market contract of $52M/3 from 2010-2012.
Posted Friday August 08, 2008, About: Why LeBron may play in Europe
In the next 5-10 years the NBA must change its CBA or European teams with too much money and too much ego will continue to poach players and by that time not just journeymen and has beens but true stars. I hope this can be a lesson to American sport in general that we must compete with other countries on an open market not just expect to have it all on our terms.

If Yankee fans are wondering why they are hated this is example A.
Posted Monday July 07, 2008, About: Sticking points to Sabathia deal
LaPorta is a premier prospect but the positions he projects to at the major league level (1B, corner outfield) are taken up by some pretty decent players for the Brewers (Prince, Braun, Corey Hart) making him the perfect chip for this trade. Even after this trade I think the Brewers still have enough to make a trade for a relief pitcher (Fuentes maybes) without really crippling the farm system.
Posted Sunday July 06, 2008, About: Four teams chasing deal for Sabathia
Cubs have some good prospects but the Brewers are loaded with sought after positional players that would be the jewels of many systems.
Posted Friday June 27, 2008, About: Why the Bucks parted ways with Yi
The Bucks needed to unload Bobby Simmons albatross contract. Even if they got a six-pack and some brats I would have been happy. That deal was terrible in hindsight, thank god he is gone.
Posted Wednesday June 25, 2008, About: Sheets to test free-agent market
You bring up very good points TRUTH and I'm not goingt o deny he has an extensive and at times bizarre injury history. However I was simply pointing out that your assertion to the SEC fan that he wouldn't win 20 games is completely off base.
Posted Wednesday June 25, 2008, About: Sheets to test free-agent market
Sunny Day I was directing my rant at someone who put someone down who was backing Sheets. Not only that but I used GOD FORBID statistics to back up my arguement not just pure conjecture. Dum Dum you make a very good counterpoint and I certainly agree that Sheets junjury history is worse than Beckett's, Just pointing out a counter to the Pavano, Hampton injury histories that everyone cites with regards to Sheets. I think he is much more of a slam dunk on a 4 year contract than either of those players could ever be. I also think many people on here really undervalue his talent because he isn't plastered on Sportscenter all day every day because he plays in a small market.
Posted Wednesday June 25, 2008, About: Sheets to test free-agent market
If Sheets would ever get run support he could win 20 games a season.

Stick to your SEC Fantasies

THE TRUTH | 06/25/08, 10:52 AM

TRUTH I think you are completely naive to the reality of the major leagues if you think this is true. Sheets' career year was in '04; 237IP 264K/32BB 162ERA+. If a guy for the Yankees, Sox, Mets, etc. have that year he would be up for HOF consideration immediately. The fact is its completely true that if Sheets can stay on the mound he has easily top 5 stuff. Also about the concerns about his injury history chew on this: from 01-05 seasons Josh Beckett pitched 607 innings, Sheets 980 IP. If you wouldn't take Beckett, again you are showing your lack of touch with reality.
Posted Monday May 05, 2008, About: Badgers land commitment
Anderson could be a very good player if he can continue his steady development. Very happy Bo pulled him in early so he can focus on getting Jamil.

Enough with the Roger Clemens stories. I'm sick of it. Let's have a headline about actual sports.
Posted Tuesday April 29, 2008, About: Bayern Munich targets Keller
The source of this rumor says a lot about its truth.
Posted Wednesday April 23, 2008, About: Packers primed to trade up?
The Vikings have made nice moves but I think you would be drunk to assume they are in the drivers seat in the NFC North. The biggest question mark on either team is the QB position and the Packers have much less of a question there than the Vikes. The Packers also have an advantage in skill and depth at nearly every other spot on the field.
Posted Monday April 21, 2008, About: Will Cubs reconsider Coco deal?
Ellsbury is overrated solely for the fact that prospects from the Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets are serially overated by the national media. Saying that I think he is a pretty nice young player with a fair bit more upside than Coco.
