I agree with Boras, all players should be played on performance, period. A base salary and then performance based compensation after that. I wonder how Mr Boreass would like that? Players like ARod and his salary is what is corrupt.
The Sox have some batters coming out, such as Bradley, Napoli and others. If Will starts hitting like last year, they will have another effective, potentially potent, offense no matter what. Salty has been doing well hitting too. No mention of Ellsbury.... keeping a low profile on Ells it seems during spring training, perhaps, getting ready for a trade....
Tebow, run away.... Go to a decent organization. The clown factory with the head foot, er clown, Rexy Toes, is in free fall. The only person in that organization with any class. Or, just stay there for your million bucks and laugh all season at the clowns. Which he won't.
Good issue for the Sox to have at this time. Hey Big Yank I heard that Geritol is the new Yankee sponsor. What will the aging Yankees do without HGH this year? Bet we see a big drop in production from last year from the aging Yankees.
At least Kobe and Dwight will be able to relax during the playoffs and work out their issues since they won't be playing. The only reason DJ has a Kevlar vest on is to prevent herself from shooting herself after watching the Lakers play.
The NY insane asylum of sports is at it again. I wonder if Rex was there to provide advice on team motivation to the Knicks?
Pats will have someone else step up. Numerous players can step in and take his place and they have another TE to step in for him, other than Hernandez, who may not be as good overall, is a good blocker and is a reliable reciever. Thats the difference between a winning and losing team in pro sports, the ability to adjust your players and play calling depending on who is available. And as the Pats showed on Sunday, they are the best at it.
Sort of like when Big Ben was out and they couldn't win and then he came back..... and they couldn't win. So, what does that make Big Ben - Least Valuable Player?
The real reason they brought him back was to balance out the bullpen bench. All season its been CC on one side and the rest of the pitchers on the other. With Joba balancing the other side, will give the other pitchers some more leg room.
What is the owner doing in a locker room at halftime getting on the players? Undercutting the coach and injecting more disorganization into a chaotic situation. What a moron.
Epsteins moves over the last two years have been very suspect with Lackey and Crawford as two glaring examples. Adrian was obtained, however, at the price of two very talented prospects. How much better would the Sox have been this year with Beltre at third instead of Youk? Money does not make a player better, nor a manager better.
