I perhaps may be biased here and yes, I understand the "being responsible for your own stick" rule but in the heat of the game and in a matter of not even a split second of this happening, Calvert was the one to bring his own stick up (along with Bouchard's) and ultimately did it to himself. Remember, the replays you're seeing are slow motion and happen in about 1 full second from drop of the puck to the incident occurring. Bouchard. Check out his stats/history and penalty minutes/games played. The guy is 5ft nothing and is in no way one to even think of being dirty or getting in fights...they've got Clutterbuck for that. He'd get murdered and he knows it. Again, double minor, yes. Can't refute that but the BS that Columbus is trying to say of the intent and being malicious...get a life. You were down 4-1 and were getting outplayed in every faucet of the game...Another playoff-less year for a bunch of whiners. If you look at all angles of when this happened, Bouchard wasn't out to take someone's teeth out, let alone even scrap it up with Calvert. Lesson learned to the Calvert kid...as Bouchard needs to control his stick at all times, so does Calvert. Props to him for finishing the game though with 3 less teeth.
