The bottom line is that the Pats should have signed him up after this season. A nice 4 year deal that makes him happy. look, the guys has proven he can play. He is not injury prone. He is young and at the begining of his prime. He can tackle, which Ty Law could never do, by the way. This is a key piece to the puzzle and if they were going to spend all that cake in the off season, they should have started here. If they lose him, so be it, move on. But it didn't have to happen
