Shanahan hasn't done much since Elway retired. As a matter of fact, his teams choked quite a few times and especially last season, when they crapped in their pants, lost the last 4 games of the season and missed the playoffs.
Cowher's Steelers were fairly competetive, but they choked regularly in the playoffs before finally winning in 2006.
They are good coaches, but I am not sure they would be the saviors that everyone thinks they'd be.
Mark my words... the Cubs will win the Word Series in 2010.
what a loser...
Lovie has peaked during the Superbowl season and he can do all he can with the Bears. It was stupid of the Bears ownership to give him a contract extension so quicky. Now they are stuck with Lovie for at least two more seasons, unless they fire him at the end of this seasons (very unlikely)
You can't blame Hendry for not trying...
I've said it before and will say it again - Lovie has done all he could with the Bears by taking them to the Superbowl in 2007. He's hit the ceiling and just don't think he could do any better. He's an average coach at best.
I really hope the Bears overhaul the coaching staff. But with their ownership, I am not so sure...
May be the Eagles would be better off with a fresh voice and a change in coaching philosophy.
