Whoa, buddy, don't get yourself so excited...

I didn't realize emo kids followed football.

Wasn't Batch injured in the game too and is out for the season? I thought I heard that yesterday. This does not bode well for the Steelers. At the beginning of the season this would be disappointing because Steelers vs Ravens is the game I've been waiting for all season, however, being a Raven fan and the way this season has miserably panned out, I'll take what I can get...

What does this have anything to do with what's in the article? Dick Vitale? What the hell are you talking about. I agree Martina is being a little harsh, seeing as Clemens is a giant egotistical liar, but Federer and Nadal haven't said anything untrue. One the sports greatest icons admits to doing CRYSTAL METH and successfully lying about it after failing a drug test. It's pretty ridiculous. He wasn't cheating, it's more of just a sad story of the mental and emotional fatigue professional sports can have on an individual.

Wow, the tough life of a pro football player. Don't you hate it when you're bisexual girlfriend gets jealous of your menage a trois? such a buzz kill...
Posted Wednesday September 09, 2009, About: Reid's job on line if Vick fails?
This is ridiculous. The coach who took his team to the NFC Championships last year? Really? It's not like they traded McNabb, Vick is just an experiment. McNabb and Kolb are still the first and second QBs and Vick is just there for special situations. I don't think Reid cares one way or the other whether Vick succeeds, he's not planning the season around him. What's wrong with the Philadelphia Inquirer?

LOL That's pretty much a compliment coming from a Raiders fan.

"Wow, your team might have 6 wins? In one season? I'm so jealous..."

Just kidding, Raider-dom...

Who's letting him?

It's funny how to two craziest owners are at the ends of this list. Just think, one day, Jerry Jones too will be the one clinging to his his once proud team, holding out for TWO more superbowl until he retires/dies....

Titans-Steelers-Ravens last year were just phenomenal. Three GREAT defenses and created some amazing games. It's odd that Titans were the first to fall, considering they were probably the best team in the leaguegoing into the playoffs. I had a lot more doubts about the Steelers and Ravens.

There's a potential that all three might be better this year...though the most questionable is whether Kerry Collins can be effective again. Veteran/journeyman QBs never seem to put consecutive good years together, aside from Garcia. Maybe that's why they move around so much...(duh!)

Speaking of rivalries...Titans-Ravens??? These teams seem to peak at the same time the past decade and have met in the playoffs at least a few times. I came away feeling bad for Titans this year. Jeff Fisher deserves at least one ring. I think if they had went on they would have won the Superbowl, no offense to Steelers or Cardinals.

What the Steelers other rivalries, other than AFC North? Cowboys kind of...maybe historically. I'm having trouble thinking of one, any help???

I still travel there a lot, what the hell do you know. EVERY time I've been to pittsburgh between october and april, it's snowed. And it's not a nice, let's go sledding winter wonderland kind of snow, it's wet and heavy and just awful to deal with. Even people that live there complain. I'm not saying where I live is that much better. Pittsburgh's winters SUCK. They're snowy and wet and gray and gross.

Baltimore has crappy weather too that people don't like and complain about. Winters have a lot of ice and slush. Summer is humid as Al Roker's butt. Fact is, there's more "liveable" places in America.

I lived near the Stadiums when I was there...I experienced sports in Pittsburgh very much. I spoke with a lot of people. I see what pittsburgh fans write on here. More-so than any other football team on here, pittsburgh fans are ready to start an argument. It's not like I came up with these ideas all by myself. Many people have echoed the same sentiments. Pittsburgh fans are their own breed. They're the Yankee fans of the NFL.

I acknowledge that it's the winningest franchise in the NFL currently, so they have a right to be proud. Does it make it any less obnoxious? No. I don't think I'm biased. I also know Baltimore fans have a general way about them, too. Different cities have different personalities. Pittsburgh's personality is very much ingrained to the Steelers, more than the Penguins and Pirates. I hear Green Bay/Wisconsin is that way too with the Packers.

There was a piece last year ranking the NFL stadiums experiences for a home game...Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, and Denver were the top 4 ranked. In which order, I don't know, I just remember those 4 at the top. I think Green Bay was first.

Plus, they're a rival team to my loyalties! What do you expect? Yankee and Red Sox fans annoy the hell out of me to.

Still, I don't think I'm biased...Pittsburgh is just a very unique place.

I just cannot agree with that. Pittsburgh has great weather in the summer, but the rest of the time it's a dreary depressing place. Not saying Baltimore is much better, but at least you get the 4 seasons. I don't know what "Europeans" consider liveable, apparently dreary is a good thing. Where's this published, Dusseldorf, Germany or something?

The fact is Baltimore and Pittsburgh are very similar...two of the last "blue collar cities" left in America. Football teams are similar. Baseball teams suck now, but have a rich history. Cities that started to die but experienced a new life the past 15 years or so...
Posted Friday August 28, 2009, About: Ravens fuel Steelers feud
Yes, actually. Baltimore has a wealth of guys on defense, particularly linebackers, for your information. Ravens have been a top defense for most of its existence.
Posted Friday August 28, 2009, About: Ravens fuel Steelers feud
One, it's kind of a joke. I appreciate the rivalry very much.

Two, I lived two and a half months in Pittsburgh last year during football season. The technology industry renassaince Pittsburgh has experienced is still young and brings in a lot of people not from the area. I worked with Emerson, one of the bigger companies in Pittsburghs techonology sector and not many are "pittsburgh fans." The bigger majority of Pittsburgh fans are blue collar and the Steelers have always been sort of a symbol for that.

Pittsburgh fans has a very well-known cliche and I can't say it's not well deserved.

I'm actually a very well traveled person and I speak out of experience of knowing the area, jackass.

I don't theink they're talking smack about the Steelers...I think they're talking smack about Raven's record against the steelers last year. But again, Steeler fans see what they want they want to see.

One of the best comments I've ever read on here
Posted Friday August 28, 2009, About: Ravens fuel Steelers feud
Is this news? Terrell Suggs starting some crap?

As much as I dislike the Steelers, I recognize it's a healthy hatred. Like Wes Mantooth to Ron Burgundy, "From deep down in my stomach, with every inch of me, I pure, straight hate you. But goddammit, do I respect you!"

Can't say the same about their fans. Steeler fans are embarassing, or at least there's a large group that embarass all of Steeler fandom, I should say. They get cutoff from the rest of the world up in Allegheny I guess, destined to remain primitive.

Here's an example of Pittsburgh's fan mentality...at the Pittsburgh airport there are two statues across from each other. One is George Washington, the other is Franco. Welcome to Pittsburgh.

There's a football game and than there's a Steelers-Ravens game. Even when the teams suck, they still go at it. One team can be down 30 points, and still try to kill the other team every play. It's awesome.

Anyone remember the 2007 last game of the season between these two?

...Neither were particularly good. Steelers won the division by default. The last game, these two meet and it was advantageous to both teams if the Steelers won: Ravens would get a better draft pick, Steelers would get to play Tennessee/Cleveland in the playoffs instead of the Jaguars (who were easily the third best team in the AFC, behind an amazing Colts and the once-in-a-generation Patriots). What happens? These two play like it's the superbowl. Be it a really sloppy superbowl because they both sucked, but the effort was there. Ravens came away with the win, thus getting a later draft pick (though that pick was Flacco, I believe) and Steelers got an invitation to host a loss against the Jaguars.

Oh, it's obviously in poor taste haha. How could it not be? Would anyone buy that dog jersey because they support Vick? I doubt it. 99.999999999999% of the sales of that jersey will be in poor taste.
