Posted Saturday June 28, 2008, About: Cavs tried to trade for Carter
I can't stand Vince Carter, but as long as he is a #2 option on offense he would make pretty much any team better. His lack of defense is more than made up for by his incredible offensive talent, and this is coming from a (bitter) raptors fan.
Posted Wednesday June 11, 2008, About: Clippers want to trade up in draft
Riley will never tradt with the clippers they have nothing to offer you can get a Kaman like center from the draft this draft has plenty of center and one has to be available in the second round the only trades are Minisot, Seattle or Memphis everything else is not logical in order for any trade to be susseful we must receive a center and a second round pick..Draft Beasely trade seattle O.J Mayo and second round draft pick, Darft Beasely trade Minesot. O.J. Mayo and second round darft pick, Use second round pick from seattle or Minesot for (C) Ante Tomic, Roy Hebbert, Alex Ajinca, Devon Hardin or Best available (C), use 52 Pick for a stealer Riley can pick winners. Sign Boozer fron Utah. Sign williams to new contacrt and trade williams and Rickey Davis for Hinrich or Best availabel back ups for PG,SF, and SG. O.J. Mayo (PG), Wade (SG), Marion (SF), Boozer and Hasleem (PF), Ante Tomic and ZO (C). That's a playoff's team and rebuilding team.

Where do you ocme up with this stuff man? Sign Bozer? He is under contract with jazz for next season. Sign Williams and trade him and Davis for Hinrich, haha you're kidding right? The bulls wouldn't do that. Dude you are making video game trades, in real life that will never happen.

Agent 0 = AI w/ bad knees

6 years and 100 mill for a guy who's 25 and missed basically 2 seasons, so he's basically a less healthy version of team killer AI. If the Wiz were smart they would sign TJ ford offer him a 1 year deal for him to prove he's healthy or do a sign and trade for a big time rebounding #4 so Antwan can move to the 3 and Caron can slide to the 2. I know it's all about the $$$ and agent 0 does sell jerseys and fill seats, but playing 13 games a season isn't going to get the Wiz much bang for a 100 mill investment for a cripple.

Umm TJ Ford isn't a free agent, but good suggestion...
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Heat considers point guard trade
Ricky Davis does not fill a need for the raptors though, we need a legit 2/3 who can be our 2nd scoring option, and Ricky Davis is quite simply not good enough to be a 2nd option on any "good" team. Throw in the fact that he is on the downside of his career and the raptors wouldn't even give up Moon alone to get Davis.
Posted Sunday June 01, 2008, About: Heat considers point guard trade
if my raptors trade for Ricky Davis I will shoot myself. He is an awful player, I don't care how you try to sell him he stinks.
Posted Sunday May 04, 2008, About: Big Hurt's speed surprises A's
Well he is probably very well rested because with the jays all he was ever doing was walking back to the dugout in shame after striking out.
Posted Sunday May 04, 2008, About: Heat interested in Raps' Ford
What do the heat have that the raptors would want though? Raptors need a good athletic wing who can score, so who on the heat could do that for the raptors. Sure as heck won't be trading him for Ricky Davis.
Posted Tuesday April 15, 2008, About: Bruins consider Bergeron's future
Yeah Lucic has been just amazing in this series. Man I remember at the start of the season he couldn't skate, it took him way too many strides just to get going. Now he is a solid skater, he throws his large body around knocking people over and he goes hard to the net. Obviously the Cam Neely comparisons might be a bit too high of expectations, but Lucic could be a very good player in the future.

As for Bergeron, while I would love to see him on the ice playing, I must admit I am not his doctor and I personally would feel a lot more comfortable if he were to not play the rest of this season. I just remember all the good players who have had their careers cut short from concussions and don't want the same thing to happen to Bergeron (Lindros, Deadmarsh, Primeau, etc.)
Posted Sunday April 13, 2008, About: Nets stars on trade block?
Anybody who complains about Carter's lack of support in Toronto is making a huge mistake. First off he and his mom pretty much handpicked who his teammates were going to be. And the raptors actually had quite a few solid veterans on the roster with him. Antonio Davis was a solid double double man, Keon Clark was one of the top shot-blockers in the league (over 2 bpg), Charles Oakley was actually a double double guy too, Mo pete was alright.... the biggest problem was that Carter was being the assistant gm and forcing the raptors to trade their draft picks for veterans.

And every year since the nets acquired Carter they have consistently gotten worse. I'm not denying he has a ton of talent, but he totally lacks the heart and intensity to be a star in this league.
Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: Is Blue Jays GM on hot seat?
Of course he is on the hot seat. He is in the toughest division in baseball, but that still doesn't change the fact that he has had a job for a lot of years and has yet to make the playoffs. I would be a little surprised if he was still the gm next year if the jays miss the playoffs this season. Its not that he has done a bad job, its just that he hasn't done a great job.
Posted Tuesday March 25, 2008, About: Bogut open to Bucks extension
Well he'll never be Chris Paul or Deron Williams, but he is an above average center who works hard and plays physical. They definitely should be trying to re-sign him this summer, the question is at what price tag? Does he ask for a deal similar to what Okafor was asking for and get shut down?
Posted Monday March 24, 2008, About: Blue Jays offer Johnson to Mets
pretty lame rumour seeing as he was dropped. I can understand why the mets wouldn't touch him, he was making $3 million this year but now that he has been released they can sign him for under $1 million. JP obviously made a great sales pitch.....NOT!! He was even showcasing this guy all spring training and that didn't seem to help.
Posted Monday March 24, 2008, About: Heat may shop for point guard
Raptors might be interested in Marion if he is on the market. We got a starting pg in TJ Ford who is going to have to be moved this summer after the emergence of Jose Calderon, and I'm sure we could find a few more players to move to make the salaries match in such a trade. Not to mention Marion played for Colangelo in Phoenix so they likely have a good relationship with each other.
Posted Monday March 24, 2008, About: Nocioni curses at Bulls coach
I'm sure the raptors would gladly trade you TJ Ford this summer if you guys are willing to give up Luol Deng. Hey at least you'd have yourselves a pg who loves to push the ball up the court and then throw it away foolishly and never pass to his teammates. O wait forget that last part.
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: Is Ellis in Grizzlies' future?
Well the grizzlies did make that ridiculous Kwame trade to get all that cap space, so they better at least try to put it to good use and get themselves a good young up and comer. Seeing as their pg situation is set, and they got Gay to play one of the forward postions as well as a high draft pick to hopefully solve one of their other needs, well Monta is definitely an option they might want to consider blowing their load on.
Posted Sunday March 16, 2008, About: Another Heat starter sitting out
Worst team only has a 25% chance of getting the top pick. The heat were the worst team in the league before guys sat with injuries, so I doubt this is tanking. I think it is more likely a very minor injury but with the team not winning anyways its probably better to keep that minor injury as minor and let the player rest. No harm done really, its not like anybody actually shows up to watch Miami play anyways. Their arena is constantly empty, it takes a telescope just to find somebody in the stands.
Posted Wednesday March 12, 2008, About: Mets-Jays trade brewing?
Johnson is in 2006 might not be the same Johnson of 2008. I personally didn't think he was even close to the same player last year after the back problems, and while I would love for him to regain his form from 06 I am not getting my hopes up. The question should be would the mets even give anything up for Reed Johnson, or would they simply ask the jays to pay half his salary and give up some really low level prospect in exchange.

i think red rocket had something to do with the transit system in Toronto. They have like red buses or whatever u want to call them that are on the streets. I believe they are referred to as red rockets. At least that is what I thought it was based on, I could be wrong though I don't live in Toronto.
Posted Thursday February 21, 2008, About: Can Braves re-sign Teixeira?
Well the yankees will try to get Teixera no doubt, as will at least 5 or 6 other teams. As hard as this is to believe, some players actually don't want to have to play in the spotlight of New York where every move you make is criticized. A lot of ball players are content with just playing ball in a city where they can just play ball. I'm sadly a jays fan so I really hope Teixera doesn't end up in New York, but either way being a fan of the jays is tough cuz they can't compete with the spending of Boston or New York.

I found the conversation about the yanks farm to be interesting. Its true that their prospects tend to get overrated, but I think thats a credit to the organization at times for overhyping their prospects to try to increase their value if they do trade them. But I must admit the yanks farm has gotten a lot stronger since the dark days when they sold their farm for the immediate, but this also can go back to the whole money issue. Big spenders have the money to pay top prospects huge signing bonuses, while some of the middle and smaller market teams pass on these guys simply cuz they can't afford to pay some high school kid 3 or 4 million and then have him not pan out. I think that mlb needs to have some kind of draft scale contracts, sort of like how the nba does their draft. Have a scale for the first 3 rounds, and then every player after that limit their signing bonuses to only so much. This would make it harder for some of these young kids to demand big bucks.
Posted Wednesday January 30, 2008, About: Three teams to bid on Kidd
Against all logic and common sense: TJ Ford, Andrea Bargnani, and Rasho Nesterovic for Jason Kidd and Josh Boone.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2990~429~2987~1979~ 598&teams=28~28~17~17~17&te=&cash=

0% chance of it happening, but intriguing? Not sure if the nets would get any offer better than that, even though TJ's health status is a little unclear. Start Kidd at the point and mix Calderon in as a backup and play him at the off-guard with Kidd. But please don't call me too stupid cuz I'm just bored and messing around.
Posted Tuesday January 22, 2008, About: Mets' Santana offer intrigues Twins
these guys are good prospects, but as a mets fan consider this. Would you want to move Reyes or Wright for 3 top prospects? I would think not. The twins have always been good at dumping their stars and getting solid prospects in return, they will take their time and make sure they get the deal they want before trading him. And if they wait to long then they keep him and could be a legitimate contender this year if Liriano can return to full health (which is quite unlikely, but hopefully he gets close).
