Yeah Freddy, I like Spain for you too. Just hope it's a a team where you'll get some PT. I don't care if they get relegated as long you get some regular PT with whichever club you go to.

That's what happens when you're more into the business side of sports rather than actually winning.
Posted Friday May 29, 2009, About: Real Madrid pondering major moves
To see all the Barca talk in a Real Madrid rumor makes me wanna puke. Nevertheless, I must admit that they are the best team in the world right now and I don't think any unbiased person could look at it any other way despite some 50/50 calls by the ref in the semi-final against Chelsea.

I'm just wondering how many of the Dutch players they plan on selling off this summer.
Posted Friday May 29, 2009, About: Real Madrid pondering major moves
You can say this every season as Madrid is always pondering major moves it seems. I kinda hope neither Kaka nor Ronaldo come just to force them to try building a good and balanced team without any megastars or...dare I say?...."Galacticos".
Posted Thursday May 28, 2009, About: Nowak to be named Philly's first coach
I know all that but it's still boring. Same names all the time...It's boring in any sport or any league to have retread coaches all the time.
Posted Thursday May 28, 2009, About: Ronaldo rethinking United future?
Man, we can only hope he doesn't try. I don't think he wants to spend that much on CR7 anyway. We don't need to go the Galactico route again!!

Barca just won a treble....I'm annoyed by this I must admit but they are clearly the best team in the world right now and they didn't become that by buying all the most expensive players they could buy.

Nothing more than a "safe" selection. Rather frustrating the way our system works here with the draft and fuzzy player acquisition rules and the salary cap and DP rule and college soccer not being set up to develop and groom professional players like college football, basketball, baseball. Soccer is weird in the USA and it's not set up in a way where coaches from other countries and seamlessly move into a managerial position in MLS and just get on with his work. Instead he has to be "familiar with the players" or "familiar with the league".

It's kinda boring because there's not that much difference between the teams from a coaching standpoint IMO. It would great to have some new blood here with some new ideas and new tactics.

Alright. Have it then if it makes the English feel better. You have the copyright. What do we owe ya (too late to change the name to pointykickthrowcatchrunwithball)?

Now, now Keeper....that's not very productive either. We Americans love "Our" football just as much. No need to get all possessive over the name of the sport.
Posted Tuesday May 26, 2009, About: U.S. requests Iran friendly
Are you serious??? Dude, back away from the keyboard and TAKE YOUR MORNING MEDS....it's football, soccer - whatever you wanna call it. We all know what the sport is. It's really no big deal.
Posted Friday May 22, 2009, About: Perez wants Mourinho
Sure I do, I'm just thinking ahead which is something lost on Madrid right now. They only think ahead to the next fat paycheck for management and filling the Bernabeu and selling jerseys but not actually building something special on the pitch for the future.
Posted Friday May 22, 2009, About: Perez wants Mourinho
Hadn't thought of that but you're probably right. However, we both know Madrid could give up 4 goals a game and they would blame the defenders before they'd blame Casillas.
Posted Friday May 22, 2009, About: Perez wants Mourinho
Didn't say there were many but a few. I think they should keep both Diarras, Higuain, Huntelaar, Marcelo, Pepe, Ramos, and Casillas - The rest of them I think they could sell or loan.
Posted Thursday May 21, 2009, About: Perez wants Mourinho
Madrid does have some nice pieces in place now but do you really trust them to keep enough of them and let the right ones go or loan them out? I don't. Everything is so up in the air right now with this election looming it's really hard to envision what the squad will look like heading into next season. But I know this much, they need to let the new coach do his work in peace.
Posted Thursday May 21, 2009, About: Perez wants Mourinho
I'm not assuming anything with this club. BELIEVE ME. There is so much work to be done to catch up the the quality of Barca that I'm not sure it can be achieved in one season but the point is that Madrid will expected to do it anyway that's STUPID. They only think one season at a time as if it's the club's last season ever and it's costing their future success.

There is no vision. You have to be able to seen beyond your nose and Madrid refuses to do it. Why is Raul's place in the team so secure? Why can't they allow a coach 3 or 4 years to implement his ideas and bring in players that fit what he wants to do or fit the style of play that the club truly wants?? I like Mourinho but he has to know that he would have to go against his coaching instincts and still win a treble every year to remain as coach at Madrid. AND THEY WOULD STILL FIRE HIM!!
Posted Thursday May 21, 2009, About: Perez wants Mourinho
Mourihno's style does not suit Madrid. They demand a more attacking style that Mourihno would bring. He wouldn't last two seasons even if Madrid won Champions League - that's how f__cking retarded they are right now. I don't believe WANTS to keep a manager that has success anyway because he may want more power than the egotistical president and the board would be willing to give him.

Mourihno in a battle of egos at Madrid would make for good print but not many trophies.
Posted Wednesday May 20, 2009, About: Wenger: I'm not leaving Arsenal
No top manager in his right mind would take this job right now. For a minute I almost thought Wenger would be stupid enough to try it but he's no fool. Madrid would not keep a manager who went trophyless for even 2 years. The Madridistas would cry like spoiled children and it's always the manager's fault somehow.
Posted Wednesday May 20, 2009, About: Wenger: I'm not leaving Arsenal
Madrid still believes it is their birthright to succeed every season and will accept nothing less than a super-attractive football team that can run even the best in Europe off the pitch whenever they feel like it. It's ridiculous. They don't even have a footballing style or vision or project in place to build a team to come close to making that happen so they just buy players that they think are good but don't fit into any style (and how can you perfect a style of play with a different manager every year???). Es jodida averguenza (let's see you filter that T&R). IT'S A F__KING DISGRACE (Picture Drogba saying that about Madrid right now).
Posted Wednesday May 20, 2009, About: Wenger: I'm not leaving Arsenal
Look inwards? Real Madrid?? LMAO!!!

Everything you said makes waaaaaaay too much sense D-Wreck. I love this club but I can't believe the level of instability there. Politics is ruining any chance at a stable future. Perhaps Florentino Perez has learned from his mistake the last time he was president and will right the ship once and for all if he wins the election. Until then no manager is safe, no matter how much success he has. You have to win and win big (and sexy) ALL THE TIME at Real.

It's impossible.
Posted Wednesday May 20, 2009, About: Wenger: I'm not leaving Arsenal
I was thinking the same thing. Wenger may not get the same kinda transfer kitty he would have at Madrid but he is pretty much free to build the team the way he wants. Not only would he have to worry about being fired even after a successful season, he would also not have the kind of control over transfers that he has at Arsenal.
